Hi everyone, Welcome to my post regarding the "SHARE YOUR BATTLE" Challenge. For this week's challenge, I'll be sharing my battles using Lir Deepswimmer. But before going to the main discussion.........

The ruleset for this time is HOLY PROTECTION with 36 mana. HOLY PROTECTION is a situation where All Monsters have the Divine Shield ability.

My Line-Up

I used Lir Deepswimmer because in the last 5 battles of the opponent, he always used Yodin Zaku and relied on Range Monsters. And this time's Ruleset (Holy Protection) is also very suitable for the BLAST ability, which is one of the abilities of Yodin Zaku.

Using Lir Deepswimmer is to defeat the opponent's Range monster by relying on RETURN FIRE.
Shield + Void (Lv1)I used Lord Arianthus because the SHADOW Card from the current Water Splinter doesn't have the SHIELD ability. SHIELD is needed to (at least) reduce damage from enemy monster attacks (Melee and Range Monster)

Lord Arianthus is also equipped with VOID to anticipate if the opponent also brings Magic Monsters.
Protect (Lv1)Venari Wavesmith is in charge of providing additional ARMOR (+2) to all my monsters. Even though there is already Lir Deepswimmer which also gives an additional 2 ARMOR, but if it is added with 2 ARMOR, it can prevent the opponent's monster attack from hitting the Health point of my monster.
None (Lv1)Since there is a possibility that the monsters that the opponent is carrying have ARMOR, I choose to use Magic monsters so that they can directly attack their Health points. And I use Magic monsters with more than 1 Attack point so that they can still hit the target if the opposing monster has the VOID ability.
None (Lv1)The reason is the same as Magi Sphinx.

Tank Heal (Lv1)I used Crustacean King because I needed the TANK HEAL he had. The TANK HEAL is useful for healing Lord Arianthus (who served as a TANKER in this battle), so that he can last longer because Lord Arianthus is in charge of defending the front row.

BATTLE START !!!

The opponent still uses Yodin Zaku as a summoner in this battle. He brings 4 Range Monsters and 3 Melee Monsters (1 monster can serve as a Range monster and Melee Monster).

After all abilities are applied.....

Yodin Zaku's Ability gives an additional 1 Attack point to all enemy's range monsters and gives an additional 1 Health point as well as Blast ability to all enemy monsters. There are no additional abilities from opposing monsters.

Lir Deepswimmer's Ability gives 2 additional ARMOR and RETURN FIRE abilities to all my monsters. Then he gives BLIND to all the opponent's monsters. An additional Ability from my monster in the form of giving 2 more ARMOR by Venari Wavesmith.

In the first round, Mischievous Mermaid and Magi Sphinx attacked Cerberus (But he managed to heal himself with the HEAL weight he had). Then Cerberus got another attack from Magi of Chaos, Venari Wavesmith, and Crustacean King.

when it's the opponent's turn, Fineas Rage, War Chaang, and Cerberus attack Lord Arianthus (of course the effect of BLAST hits **Venari Wavesmith **). Lava Spider and Fire Beetle target Venari Wavesmith and defeat her. The BLAST effect hit Lord Arianthus and Magi Sphinx, then the 2 ARMOR given by Venari Wavesmith also disappeared with his defeat...

Attack from Blood Maker failed to hit Magi of Chaos.

Attacks from the opposing monster's Range are partially returned to them.

In the second round, Cerberus was defeated by Mischievous Mermaid and Magi Sphinx. Then Fineas Rage who took the place of Cerberus got an attack from Magi of Chaos and Crustacean King.

When it's the opponent's turn, Fineas Rage and War Chaang attack Lord Arianthus, and the effect of BLAST hits Magi Sphinx. Then Lava Spider and Blood Maker target Magi Sphinx, where the BLAST effect hits Lord Arianthus and Magi of Chaos.

Before attacking, Crustacean King healed Lord Arianthus.

Attacks from the opposing monster's Range are partially returned to them.

Attack from Fire Beetle failed to hit Magi Sphinx.

In the third round, Fineas Rage attacked Lord Arianthus and his BLAST effect instantly defeated Magi Sphinx. War Chaang also attacked Lord Arianthus and his BLAST destroyed the ARMOR of Magi of Chaos. This time the attack from Blood Maker was aimed at Crustacean King (and his BLAST hit the Mischievous Mermaid), but it only took away the DIVINE SHIELD he had. by the monster.

The attack from Blood Maker was returned to him and made him lose.

Mischievous Mermaid and Magi of Chaos attacked Fineas Rage, while the attack launched by Crustacean King missed. Lava Spider and Fire Beetle target Magi of Chaos and defeat him. But they also lost as a result of RETURN FIRE.

Before attacking, Crustacean King healed Lord Arianthus.

STRATEGY (Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?)

My strategy has worked quite well, but the results I get are quite dramatic. if the attacks from Crustacean King keep on missing, maybe the other side will win this battle. The SPEED difference between Fineas Rage and Crustacean King is huge, and it greatly benefits the opponent because he is more likely to dodge attacks.

But on the other hand, I have to thank Lir Deepswimmer, thanks to his BLIND, the opponent's monster failed several times to land his attack on my monster even though the opponent's monster was superior in SPEED.

The thing I'd like to try next time might be swapping the position of Venari Wavesmith to be closer to Crustacean King rather than Lord Arianthus. This was done so that the additional 2 ARMOR from him did not quickly disappear (as happened in this battle).

Maybe I'll also replace one (or two) of my Magic monsters with Dragon Windmaster (reduce 1 attack point to all Enemies Range Monsters) or Scavo Hireling (Repair some ARMOR).

Do you like Lir Deepswimmer?

I like it, but unfortunately, I'm having a hard time finding the right time to use it (or maybe I'm not given a chance by the "system").

Lir Deepswimmer is more suitable for use in MODERN FORMAT than WILD FORMAT. Because in MODERN FORMAT you will often encounter opponents who use General Sloan as summoners (especially in BRONZE LEAGUE). And when the opponent uses General Sloan, the possibility of the monster he will use is dominated by Range Monster. And that can be overcome with RETURN FIRE which is also owned by Lir Deepswimmer.

But like I said before, I rarely get a chance to use it. One of them is because the Mana available in a battle is quite small, and the Mana required for Lir Deepswimmer is quite a lot.

Great Battle! Lir Deepswimmer is a tough summoner. Against a Yodin Zaku! Very nice strategy!
