Hi everyone, Welcome to my post regarding the "SHARE YOUR BATTLE" Challenge. For this week's challenge, I'll be sharing my battles using Prismologist (In accordance with this week's challenge theme). And before going to the main discussion.........

The ruleset for this time is AIM TRUE and UP TO ELEVEN with 54 mana. AIM TRUE is a situation where Melee and Ranged attacks always hit their target. Meanwhile, UP TO ELEVEN is a situation where All Monsters have Amplify abilities.

My Line-Up

CardsAbilityReason
- Give 1 Additional SPEED to All Allies.
- Give additional RETURN FIRE abilities to All Allies
I used Ilthain because I thought the opponent would use a formation that focuses on attacks from Ranged monsters. With RETURN FIRE from Ilthain and AMPLIFY obtained from UP TO ELEVEN Ruleset, the counterattack to Ranged monsters will be greater.
Shield + Void (Lv1)I used Lord Arianthus because he has abilities that can reduce attacks from various types of monsters (Melee / Ranged / Magic monsters). Although I suspect that the opponent will use Ranged monsters, it does not rule out the possibility that the opponent will bring Magic monsters into the Battle Arena as well.
Reach + Reflection Shield (Lv1)I chose Corsair Bosun because he has high Attack points and can be used in the second position behind Lord Arianthus. I need high Attack points because Lord Arianthus has no Attack points. Meanwhile, Reflection Shield is useful if Lord Arianthus is hit by an attack from an opposing monster that has the BLAST ability.
Headwinds (Lv1)I used Runemancer Atuat because he has HEADWINDS which is useful for reducing the Attack points of the opponent's Ranged monsters so that their attacks don't affect Lord Arianthus too much.
Blast (Lv1)I used Prismologist because there is a possibility that the opponent's TANK will heal faster with the help of TANK HEAL monsters. BLAST will be useful for defeating the monster behind the TANK, so it is likely that the TANK HEAL monster can be defeated first.
Tank heal (Lv1)I use Divine Healer only to heal TANK. while the reason I use lv3 is that at that lv he has started to get Attack points.
Flying + Repair (Lv1)The original use of Adelade Brightwing was actually to repair ARMOR that had been damaged by the opponent's monsters. But since not all my monsters have ARMOR, REPAIR is not very useful for this battle.

BATTLE START !!!

image.png

Unexpectedly, my opponent this time used Earth Splinter and focused their attacks using Magic monsters. While the formation I use is a formation that focuses on countering attacks from Ranged Monsters (as I explained earlier)

After all abilities are applied.....

Obsidian's ability grants an additional 1 attack point to all of your opponent's magic monsters. No additional abilities are granted by the opponent's monsters.

Ilthain's ability grants an additional 1 SPEED and an additional RETURN FIRE Ability to all of my monsters. Additional abilities from monsters in the form of 1 attack point reduction to all opponent's Ranged monsters granted by Runemancer Atuat.

In the first round, 3 opposing monsters (Regal Peryton, Unicorn Mustang, and Mycelic Slipspawn) attacked Lord Arianthus. However, Lord Arianthus was healed by Divine Healer before getting another attack from Goblin Psychic. The attack from Goblin Tower did not deal any damage to Lord Arianthus, not even its BLAST effect could hurt Corsair Bosun who has REFLECTION SHIELD. (Instead, he was hit by RETURN FIRE from my 2 monsters).

When it was my turn, Corsair Bosun attacked Unicorn Mustang but was healed by Goblin Psychic. The other 4 monsters (Prismologist, Runemancer Atuat, Adelade Brightwing, and Divine Healer) attack Mycelic Slipspawn because it has TAUNT. The BLAST effect of Prismologist's attack hits Mycelic Infantry and Regal Peryton.

In the second round, Lord Arianthus was defeated by Regal Peryton. Then Corsair Bosun who took the place of Lord Arianthus received attacks from Unicorn Mustang and Goblin Tower that hit ARMOR and attacks from Goblin Psychic that hit Health points. The BLAST effect from Goblin Tower's attack hit Runemancer Atuat, but Goblin Tower lost to RETURN FIRE.

(ARMOR of Corsair Bosun successfully repaired by Adelade Brightwing)

When it was my turn, Prismologist defeated Mycelic Slipspawn (BLAST effect hit Regal Peryton and Mycelic Infantry). Meanwhile, Corsair Bosun, Runemancer Atuat, and Adelade Brightwing attacked Unicorn Mustang (though it was healed by Goblin Psychic).

image.png

In the third round, Corsair Bosun took another hit from Unicorn Mustang on ARMOR and Regal Peryton on Health points. But everything was repaired and healed by Adelade Brightwing and Divine Healer.

When it was my turn, Unicorn Mustang was defeated by the attacks of Corsair Bosun and Prismologist. Its BLAST effect hit the ARMOR of the Mycelic Infantry. My 3 magic monsters (Runemancer Atuat, Adelade Brightwing, and Divine Healer) attacked Mycelic Infantry (but were healed by Goblin Psychic).

The last attack came from Mycelic Infantry and Goblin Psychic who attacked Corsair Bosun.

image.png

In the fourth round, Corsair Bosun was defeated by Regal Peryton. The Mycelic Infantry was defeated by attacks from Prismologist, Runemancer Atuat, and Adelade Brightwing*. Regal Peryton was also defeated because he was hit by BLAST from Prismologist's attack aimed at Mycelic Infantry.

STRATEGY (Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?)

At first, I was pessimistic because I didn't bring any monsters with SILENCE abilities to face the opponent this time. But the opponent also made a mistake by placing TAUNT monsters in the middle position (not in the first or last position). Because when dealing with monsters that have the BLAST ability (such as Prismologist) automatically 2 monsters nearby will be affected by the effect (if the TAUNT monster is placed in the first or last position, only 1 monster is affected by the effect of BLAST). This allowed me to win quite easily.

For subsequent strategies, there are no changes at all (unless there are changes to the Ruleset and the amount of Mana provided)

Do you like Prismologist?

Yes, I love it. He used to be one of my favorite monsters when I often used LIFE SPLINTER with The Peakrider as the Summoner. But along the way, I used Mylor Crowling and EARTH SPLINTER more often. But after the existence of Grandmaster Rathe and Ilthain, I started using them again.
