Social Media Challenge || 1-CLICK SET RENTALS (PART 2) || "Unexpected" Time Mage

Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.
In this post, I will share a little info about 1-CLICK SET RENTALS as well as the unexpected victory when using Time Mage.

1-CLICK SET RENTALS (PART 2)

Last week I also talked a bit about 1-CLICK SET RENTALS which you can see here. And for this time I will tell you some things (specifically for borrowers) that I just realized about 1-CLICK SET RENTALS. These are
- With 7 or more days left in the season, Season Rentals will be active from the time of rental until the end of the current season, at which point they can be canceled.
- With fewer than 7 days left in the season, Season Rentals will remain active through the end of the current season, and the end of the next season.
- Season rentals cannot be canceled by either party until the end of the specified season.
This is the start of a new season. Therefore, if you want to borrow 1 SET of cards from the CHAOS LEGION edition now (or until 7 days before the new season ends), you can use it until the new season ends even if you or the renter cancel. (And you must pay for the remaining days before the season ends.)
If you want to borrow them less than 7 days before the end of the current season, then you will use 1 set of cards until the end of the current season EXTENDED by one more season (even if you canceled them when the new season ended). So you will have to pay for 1 full season for the next season and the remaining days of this season (if less than 7 days).
For those of you who are short of CREDITS or DECs, it would be nice to borrow them immediately starting now or reaching 7 days before the season ends. Or you can also participate in the Weekly CHALLENGE held by @splinterlands to be able to get additional income which can later be exchanged for CREDITS or DECs. (More complete links about the challenge can be seen at the end of this post)

TIME MAGE

|---|
Time Mage is a Rare unit from Life Element for CHAOS LEGION Edition. Although his Health points are quite low, he has several abilities that can help in battle.
Time Mage only has 2 abilities at its maximum level (level 8). At the first level, he has the SLOW
ability which can be used to slow down the SPEED of all opposing monsters by 1 point. While the second ability (RUST
) he only got when he was at level 5. RUST
is an ability that can reduce the ARMOR of all opposing monsters by 2 points permanently (as long as the owner of this ability has not been defeated). RUST
ability is very useful to help Melee and Range monsters so that their attacks can directly hit the Health points of the target (if the target only has 1-2 ARMOR).
Below is one of my battles using Time Mage where there was an unexpected event in the middle of the battle until the battle was over involving Time Mage...

Battle

The ruleset for this battle is RISE OF THE COMMONS
(Only monsters with Common and Rare rarity can be used in this ruleset), WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU
(All monsters receive an additional ability in the form of ENRAGE
), and BRIAR PATCH
(All monsters receive an additional ability in the form of THORNS
)
I decided to use Vruz when I found out that there was a BRIAR PATCH ruleset in this battle. The reason I used him was of course so that he could be quickly defeated without being hit by the opponent's attacks and relying solely on his THORNS
ability. And if he is defeated, it will give an advantage to the monsters placed nearby because they will receive an extra 1 point when Vruz is defeated.
In addition, I also used Time Mage, Supply Runner, and Naga Assassin to widen the SPEED difference between the monsters of my side and the opponent's side so that attacks from the opponent's monsters could most likely be avoided.

In the first round, Vruz successfully attacked Pelacor Arbalest (though he also suffered damage from the effects of THORNS), and Venari Marksrat destroyed Pelacor Conjurer's DIVINE SHIELD on the opponent's side. Meanwhile, the attacks from my other monsters (Time Mage, Naga Assassin, and Supply Runner) failed to hit Pelacor Conjurer.
The opponent also experienced the same thing. Only the attacks from Pelacor Arbalest and Time Mage managed to hit my Pelacor Conjurer and put him into RAGE mode (his SPEED increased by 1.5 times). Meanwhile, the attacks from Gargoya Devil, Xenith Archer, and Supply Runner failed to hit him.

In the second round, Vruz attacked Pelacor Arbalest again but he lost due to the THORNS effect he received when attacking Pelacor Arbalest. That caused my Pelacor Conjurer and Time Mage to receive an additional 1 point in all of their STATS. Despite receiving the additional point, the attack from my Time Mage could not hit my opponent's Pelacor Conjurer (the same thing happened to Venari Marksrat who failed to land his attack). Meanwhile, the attacks from Naga Assassin and Supply Runner* this time successfully dealt damage to the opponent's Pelacor Conjurer.
On the opponent's side, now the attack from Supply Runner successfully hit my Pelacor Conjurer. then followed by attacks from Time Mage and Pelacor Arbalest. Meanwhile, Gargoya Devil and Xenith Archer failed to land their attacks on my Pelacor Conjurer.

In the third round, the opponent's Time Mage managed to defeat my Pelacor Conjurer even though he also lost due to a counterattack through MAGIC REFLECT
. The Naga Assassin failed to land an attack on the opponent's Pelacor Conjurer, but the attacks from my Time Mage and Supply Runner* managed to defeat it.
My Time Mage who is now in first place took damage through MAGIC REFLECT when defeating my opponent's Pelacor Conjurer. Then he also took damage from the first attack launched by Pelacor Arbalest. But after taking 2 damage, Time Mage managed to avoid the attacks launched by Gargoya Devil, Xenith Archer, and Supply Runner.

In the fourth round, Naga Assassin failed to deal damage to Gargoya Devil. The Gargoya Devil could only be defeated by attacks from my Time Mage and Supply Runner (after taking damage from Venari Marksrat in the previous round).
In this round, Time Mage was undefeated, after she managed to dodge the attacks of Supply Runner and Pelacor Arbalest. Xenith Archer who couldn't attack because he was in the first position could only surrender to the attacks of Venari Marksrat*.

In the fifth round, Xenith Archer was defeated by Time Mage and Naga Assassin. The opponent's Supply Runner who was now in first place was hit by an attack from my Supply Runner. Pelacor Arbalest failed to land his attack on Time Mage. Likewise, Venari Marksrat failed to deal damage to Supply Runner.

In the last round, Time Mage managed to defeat the opponent's Supply Runner. Meanwhile, Pelacor Arbalest was defeated by attacks from Naga Assassin and Supply Runner.

Review
The victory in this battle was very unexpected, especially when Time Mage managed to dodge some of the opponent's attacks when his Health points were only 2. It would make sense if it was Pelacor Conjurer who could dodge some of the attacks from the opponent's monsters because he has the FLYING
ability which can make it easier for him to dodge attacks from monsters that don't have abilities like him.
With only a 1-point speed advantage over Pelacor Conjurer, I didn't expect Time Mage to be able to dodge their attacks with so few Health points left. If only 1 of the opponent's attacks managed to hit her, there was a possibility that my side would lose the battle this time.

Those are the kinds of things I discussed in this Social Media Challenge. Thank you for reading to the end and see you in other discussions in next week's Social Media Challenge.
