Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

In this post, I'll be sharing my battles against opponents using Tactics Summoner. "What is Tactics Summoner? " Let's see a little explanation below...

Tactics Summoners

Summoner cards with this new mechanic will have two different sets of buffs or debuffs that are available for the player to choose from after both players have revealed their teams!

- Splinterlands's post

According to the official explanation above, Tactics Summoners are Summoner cards that have 2 types of buff or debuff. But unlike other Summoner cards, these 2 types of buff or debuff cannot be used simultaneously and cannot be given or received by all monsters. Tactics Summoner requires players to choose 1 of the 2 types of buff or debuff before the battle begins. And in Tactics Summoner, players can only distribute the buff or debuff to 1 or 2 monsters of their choice, either monsters on their side or monsters on the enemy side (yes, that's right. You can also give buff to monsters on the opponent's side).

Tactics Summoners were only introduced when Rebellion Edition was announced. In addition to Tactics Summoners, there are also Dual-elements Summoners where we can choose monsters of 2 different elements (other than Neutral and Dragon) according to the Dual-elements Summoners we use.

Unfortunately, I lack experience in how to use these 2 new summoner types (Tactics and Dual-elements) because their rental prices in the market are still too high (due to limited stock). I also rarely face opponents who use these 2 new Summoner types.

But luckily this time I got the chance to face one of them (Tactics Summoners) and managed to win the battle...

Battle

The ruleset for this battle is MANEUVERS (All monsters in the battle arena receive an additional ability in the form of reach ), AIMLESS (All monsters in the battle arena receive an additional ability in the form of SCATTER SHOT ), and HEALED OUT (Any kind of healing ability cannot be used in this ruleset)

At first, I was confused between Queen Mycelia or Arkemis the Bear* to provide additional ARMOR (using the PROTECT ability) to all my monsters. In the end, I decided to use Arkemis the Bear and utilize the MANEUVERS ruleset so that he could attack in the second position and avoid the opponent's TANK attack. As for the monster that fills the first position, I chose Djinn Chwala because he can give THORNS effect when he gets attacked by the opponent's melee monster and he can get additional ATTACK POWER and SPEED when his HEALTH POINT is not at 100%.

While on the opponent's side, he uses one of the new summoner types (TACTICS SUMMONER) introduced in #REBELLION EDITION. That summoner is Akane, who is the Legendary Summoner for DRAGON SPLINTER. He used Agor Longtail to fill the first position and Pallus in the second position. Agor Longtail already had the HEAL ability at level 3, but because it was in the HEALED OUT ruleset, the ability could not be used.

Because it is a TACTICS SUMMONER, Akane has 2 choices of abilities to give. And the opponent chose to use the AMBUSH ability instead of the LOOKOUT ability. The choice is quite correct because the advantage of the LOOKOUT ability will not work when faced with monsters that have the SCATTER SHOT ability (or in this battle received the ability from the AIMLESS ruleset).

The 2 monsters that the opponent chose to receive the AMBUSH ability were Swell Spore Beast and Doctor Blight*. In this special Ambush round, Swell Spore Beast attacked Whelp Herder while Doctor Blight attacked Djinn Chwala and successfully gave it the effects of AFFLICTION and POISON. But because of the attack, Djinn Chwala was in RAGE MODE, where his ATTACK POWER and SPEED increased by 1.5x.

In the first round, Regal Peryton attacked Pallus. Djinn Chwala who went head-to-head with Agor Longtail failed to land his attack. However, attacks from Arkemis the Bear, Whelp Herder, and Goblin Psychic managed to hit him. The attack from Whelp Herder also deals a SNARE effect that makes Agor Longtail's FLYING ability disabled, while the attack from Arkemis the Bear makes Agor Longtail's ATTACK POWER (Melee and Magic attack) reduced to half. Chaos Dragon targets its attack at Swell Spore Beast and the collateral damage from BLAST effect hits Doctor Blight and Hunter Jarx*.

On the opposing side, Agor Longtail, Pallus, and Doctor Blight attacked Djinn Chwala. Agor Longtail and Pallus were hit by the effect of THORNS while attacking. Oshuur Constantia and Swell Spore Beast attacked Goblin Psychic while Hunter Jarx attacked Chaos Dragon.

In the second round, Chaos Dragon targeted his attack at Oshuur Constantia and the collateral damage from the BLAST effect hit Pallus and defeated Doctor Blight (but was revived by Oshuur Constantia). Djinn Chwala, Regal Peryton, Whelp Herder, and Arkemis the Bear defeated Agor Longtail. Meanwhile, Goblin Psychic attacked Hunter Jarx.

On the opponent's side, Pallus failed to land his attack on Djinn Chwala while the attack from Hunter Jarx managed to hit him. Oshuur Constantia attacked Regal Peryton and Swell Spore Beast attacked Chaos Dragon.

In the final round, Djinn Chwala defeated Pallus. Regal Peryton and Whelp Herder defeated Oshuur Constantia, Chaos Dragon defeated Swell Spore Beast, Arkemis the Bear defeated Doctor Blight, and Goblin Psychic defeated Hunter Jarx.

Battle Review

I was really lucky because this time my opponent was (probably) "more careless" than me. He brought 2 monsters with healing abilities (Agor Longtail with its HEAL ability and Oshuur Constantia with her TANK HEAL ability) in the HEALED OUT Ruleset. While I only brought Goblin Psychic who has TANK HEAL ability (I brought her because I wanted to utilize her other ability, SILENCE to reduce the ATTACK POWER of the opponent's magic monsters).

I was also careless because I was confused about what monsters I should bring to the battle this time. I was confused between Arkemis the Bear or Queen Mycelia and I even put Whelp Herder in the last position because the formation time was running out.

I was resigned about the result. But unexpectedly I was able to win in this battle even though at the beginning I was not at an advantage because my opponent used AMBUSH to attack my 2 monsters first. But luck was on my side this time, probably because of the AIMLESS Ruleset which makes the attacks from Magic and Ranged attack monsters choose their targets randomly in each round.
