Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

In this post, I will share some of my battles using Musa Saline, the Legendary Water Card from Soulbound reward cards.

Musa Saline

In my last post, I told you that I managed to get Musa Saline as many as 2 BCX Gold Foils. Then I combined them and managed to get Musa Saline level 3 Gold Foils. At this level, Musa Saline has gotten all the abilities she has (at level 4 she will only get additional ATTACK POWER), SCAVENGER , SHATTER , and DISPEL abilities.

SCAVENGER ability can be very useful for Musa Saline who has a base health of 3 points if there are monsters that fall. Every 1 monster that falls, will give her an additional 1 Health point. This SCAVENGER ability will be more beneficial when used in the BORN AGAIN Ruleset because in this Ruleset, monsters defeated in the BORN AGAIN Ruleset will be revived once again and that makes Musa Saline and monsters that have the SCAVENGER ability receive an additional 2 Health points from 1 monster.

Musa Saline's ability that she gets at level 2, SHATTER ability, will be useful when facing monsters that have a lot of ARMOR. Musa Saline can become a supporter by destroying the target's ARMOR with the SHATTER ability, then other Melee or Ranged monsters can directly deal damage to the Health points of the target.

And for the last Musa Saline ability, the DISPEL ability can be used when the target receives BUFF from other monsters. If the attack successfully hits the target, then all BUFF the target received from other monsters will be removed (BUFF received from Summoner cannot be removed). DISPEL ability can also remove BUFF received by the target due to certain conditions such as BLOODLUST (adds stats when successfully defeating the target), MARTYR (adds stats to nearby monsters when defeated), and ENRAGE (adds stats when Health points are below 100%).

Battles using Musa Saline

1st Battle

image.png

The ruleset for this battle is ARMORED UP (All monsters in the battle arena receive an additional 2 ARMORS) and UP TO ELEVEN (All monsters in the battle arena receive an additional ability in the form of AMPLIFY ).

The opponent used Djinn Chwala who has THORNS ability in the first position to utilize AMPLIFY ability which can strengthen the effect of THORNS ability. Meanwhile, I used Baakjira who has VOID ability because I thought that the opponent would bring a Magic monster (it turned out not at all).

In the first round, Vruz, Pelacor Bandit, Uraeus, and Deeplurker aimed their attacks at my Uraeus. But unfortunately, the attack from Deeplurker failed to hit my Uraeus.

On my side, Uraeus and Deeplurker managed to defeat Vruz. However, that made Pelacor Bandit receive additional STATS because of the effect of MARTYR ability. Musa Saline attacked Djinn Chwala and managed to damage all of his ARMOR using the SHATTER ability. Having lost all his ARMOR, Djinn Chwala received an attack from Tide Biter that instantly reduced his Health points.

Djinn Chwala who was in Rage mode attacked Baakjira followed by Tide Biter. However, Baakjira managed to heal himself after receiving the attack.

In the second round, Pelacor Bandit managed to defeat my Uraeus. Meanwhile, Djinn Chwala was defeated by attacks from Musa Saline, Tide Biter and Deeplurker. However, my Deeplurker who lost ARMOR due to the effect of the reinforced THORNS was defeated by my opponent's Uraeus and Deeplurker.

In the third round, Pelacor Bandit and Ureus attacked Musa Saline. Musa Saline attacked my opponent's Tide Biter and destroyed his ARMOR. That attack was then followed by an attack from my Tide Biter so that the opponent's Tide Biter was defeated.

Deeplurker who is now in first place attacked Baakjira and managed to give him a POISON effect. It also happened to Deeplurker who received an attack from Doctor Blight.

The Deeplurker was defeated thanks to attacks from Musa Saline (which also destroyed ARMOR) and Tide Biter*.

Musa Saline had to lose because he took a big attack from Pelacor Bandit for 2 rounds.

2nd Battle

image.png

The ruleset for this battle is HEAVY HITTERS (All monsters in the battle arena receive an additional ability in the form of KNOCK OUT ), SUPER SNEAK (All melee monsters in the battle arena receive an additional ability in the form of SNEAK ), and LITTLE LEAGUE (monsters that can be used in battle cannot have Mana more than 4 points).

My opponent and I are both using WATER SPLINTER, and we have similarities in monster selection. But the opposing side is slightly ahead in SPEED because it uses Clockwork Aide which gives an additional 1 SPEED.

In the first round, Venari Marksrat was defeated by Pelacor Bandit, Tide Biter and Uraeus*. Meanwhile, Xenith Monk attacked Pelacor Bandit.

On my side, Pelacor Bandit, Uraeus, and Tide Biter attacked Xenith Monk and gave him a POISON effect (which made him fall early in the second round). Meanwhile, Musa Saline attacked my opponent's Cruel Sethropod and damaged all of its ARMOR, and that was utilized by my Cruel Sethropod to wound my opponent.

image.png

In the second round, my Pelacor Bandit attacked my opponent's before being defeated by my opponent's Pelacor Bandit and Tide Biter. Meanwhile, the opponent's Pelacor Bandit was defeated by my Tide Biter and Uraeus. Opponent's Uraeus attacks mine and gives it a POISON effect.

The opponent's Cruel Sethropod was defeated by attacks from Cruel Sethropod and Musa Saline.

In the third round, my Uraeus lost to the poison and attacks of my opponent's Uraeus.

Battle Review

The use of Musa Saline in the 2 battles above was very satisfying. He can even be the opening attack to the opponent's first-position monster so that my other Melee monsters targeting the same monster can immediately deal damage and reduce the Health points of the target, while the target can only partially damage the ARMOR of my first-position monster.
