Social Media Challenge || VENARI SEEDSMITH

Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

In this post, I will share my experience using Venari Seedsmith where he manages to help defeat most of the opponent's monsters with his high ATTACK POWER.

VENARI SEEDSMITH

Again and again, I will share the experience of using Chaos Legion Edition reward cards. And this time it is Venari Seedsmith. Venari Seedsmith is a Rare Reward Card for Earth Element.

At level 1, he has quite small stats and is vulnerable to being targeted by monsters that have the OPPORTUNITY ability. But at that level, Venari Seedsmith has the SCAVENGER ability that can increase his Health points every time a monster is defeated.

At level 5, he received another additional ability in the form of POISON which if successfully activated, the health points of the target will be reduced by 2 points each round as long as it is not removed using the CLEANSE ability. That was the last ability received by Venari Seedsmith and until the maximum level (8) he did not receive any more abilities besides the previous 2 abilities.

With 5 points of Mana and very few stats at level 1, (in my opinion) Venari Seedsmith cannot be an option in the formation. Only when he is level 5 and has the POISON ability, Venari Seedsmith can be an option if you want to "poison " the opponent's monsters. The safest ruleset to use Venari Seedsmith is EQUALIZER . In this ruleset, all monsters have the same Health points and Venari Seedsmith is less likely to be attacked by monsters that have the OPPORTUNITY ability.

Below is an example of one of my battles using Venari Seedsmith.

Battle

The ruleset for this battle is SILENCED SUMMONERS (All abilities and buffs or debuffs possessed by Summoners cannot be granted or used in this ruleset.), TAKING SIDES (Neutral monsters cannot be used in this ruleset), and RISE OF THE COMMONS (Only monsters with common and rare rarity are allowed to be used in this ruleset.)

I decided to use the Earth Element instead of the Water element when I found out I was fighting in the RISE OF THE COMMONS ruleset. Because in EARTH Element, there are Rare monsters that have the TAUNT ability (Mycelic Slipspawn). Unlike the Water element, monsters with similar abilities only exist in Epic Rarity (Wave Brood).

Another reason I use Earth element is because there is Pelacor Mercenary who already has RETALIATE ability which is also owned by Diemonshark in Water Element. However, Pelacor Mercenary is superior because it has the FLYING ability that allows it to avoid attacks from Melee or Ranged monsters that do not have similar abilities and the HEAL ability that allows it to heal itself.

In the first round, Regal Peryton got his turn to attack first and attacked Diemonshark, putting him into Rage mode. Because of that, Diemonshark and Flying Squid attacked Pelacor Mercenary. Pelacor Mercenary had wanted to counter Diemonshark's attack by using RETALIATE but his attack was missed. It was only when Venari Seedsmith attacked and put a poison effect on Diemonshark, the attack from Pelacor Mercenary managed to hit it. And this time Diemonshark failed to counter his attack despite using RETALIATE.

The Mycelic Slipspawn that had 4 opposing monsters targeting him only took 2 damage. The ones that successfully attacked him were Angelic Mandarin and Deeplurker which also gave him a poison effect. Meanwhile, the attacks from Pelacor Bandit and Merdhampir failed to hit him.

Mycelic Slipspawn, Fungus Flinger, and Goblin Psychic successfully attacked Diemonshark.

At the start of the second round, Mycelic Slipspawn and Diemonshark* had their Health points reduced due to the poison effect they received in the previous round. Then later, Regal Peryton defeated Diemonshark. Meanwhile, Mycelic Slipspawn could only be defeated by attacks from 3 opposing monsters (Pelacor Bandit, Angelic Mandarin, and Merdhampir. But before being defeated, Mycelic Slipspawn had attacked Flying Squid along with Pelacor Mercenary, Venari Seedsmith, and Goblin Psychic.

Since it was no longer bound by TAUNT, Deeplurker targeted its attack at Fungus Flinger which had the lowest Health points, and managed to defeat it. But because of that, Venari Seedsmith received an additional 1 point in all of his stats.

In the third round, Regal Peryton managed to defeat Flying Squid. Meanwhile, Deeplurker who took his place was also immediately defeated by Venari Seedsmith and Pelacor Mercenary. Angelic Mandarin who was in the first position could no longer attack and had to resign himself to receiving attacks from Goblin Psychic.

Pelacor Bandit attacks Venari Seedsmith while Merdhampir attacks Pelacor Mercenary and gives him a SNARE effect that negates his FLYING ability.

In the fourth round, Pelacor Bandit attacked Venari Seedsmith. Regal Peryton and Venari Seedsmith defeated Angelic Mandarin. Merdhampir attacked Pelacor Mercenary. And Pelacor Bandit was defeated by attacks from Goblin Psychic and Pelacor Mercenary.

In the final round, Merdhampir was defeated by attacks from Regal Peryton, Venari Seedsmith, and Pelacor Mercenary.

Review

In this battle, Venari Seedsmith is quite meritorious. After all, it helps reduce a lot of Health points from the opponent's monsters because it is one of the Ranged monsters I brought (and the only one that survived). When my Melee and Magic monsters are debuffed by the opponent's monsters, only Ranged monsters are the hope to weaken the Health points of the opponent.

Although there is Fungus Flinger, it only has 1 ATTACK POWER from the start. Even so, it contributes to giving additional stats to Venari Seedsmith when he is defeated by Deeplurker. With this addition, Venari Seedsmith can more quickly reduce the Health points of the opponent's monsters.
