Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

In this post, I will continue my explanation of my journey in this game (SPLINTERLANDS) after I wrote about it a few months ago. Has there been any good progress after a few months? Or did it end up being bad? Check it out below...

Discovery of Splinterlands

I met this game (SPLINTERLANDS) in 2021 when I was looking for an alternative Web3 Games or Play 2 Earn Games besides Axie Infinity which at that time required a very large capital to start the game. Axie Infinity also offers a Scholarship program where scholarship recipients will play the account of the program organizer and then the rewards received will be divided according to the initial agreement. Unfortunately, many prospective players use this method so we have to scramble to get the scholarship program.

Because I was impatient, I finally looked for other alternative Play 2 Earn games that would use minimal capital (or if possible no capital) so that I didn't have to queue or scramble for scholarship programs like Axie Infinity.

I finally met SPLINTERLANDS and started creating an account around June 2021, but at that time I was still not sure how to start and only looked at the tutorial on how to play this game (because it was my first time playing TCG). Around the end of July 2021 when the SPS token was first introduced, I ventured to start playing by paying $10 to buy Summoner's Spellbook (so that I could get rewards when winning each battle).

Time Spent in Splinterlands

This is my third year playing this game (SPLINTERLANDS) with a very varied playing duration (about 1 to 3 hours per day). But sometimes there are days when I don't play this game for a few days, especially before the End of the Season and at the beginning of the season (1 season in SPLINTERLANDS lasts about 12 to 16 days). The reason I don't play at that time is that I've reached my target rating (when approaching the End of the Season) and because at that time there are still many tough opponents or players who are much more PRO playing to raise their rating as quickly as possible (when at the beginning of the season).

Accomplishments & Upcoming Goals

A few months after previous similar post, many goals have been achieved. Among them is that I'm back to playing in the Modern Gold League (after in the previous post I was still stuck in the Silver League). The battles in the Gold League were no less fierce, making me have to increase my patience and not be rash when losing repeatedly.

And my next goal is to feel the atmosphere of battle in the DIAMOND League which is currently still difficult for me because the opponents are quite tough and have the same goal and because I am not familiar with the new cards from the REBELLION edition. As you already know, in early December SPLINTERLANDS officially brought out the latest Edition (REBELLION). And because of the appearance of REBELLION, the battle format in MODERN LEAGUE has also changed. At first, the battle format used cards from the UNTAMED and CHAOS LEGION editions, but after the presence of REBELLION, cards from the UNTAMED edition could no longer be used in MODERN LEAGUE and were replaced by REBELLION.

My next accomplished goal is to have a level 3 LEGENDARY REWARD CARD. 2 years after I played this game, I finally got it. That card is Musa Saline.

I got the card last December in EoS Rewards. I got 2 pieces of Musa Saline and they were not Normal Foils but Gold Foils which also made it my first Gold Foils LEGENDARY REWARD CARD (I just realized that I didn't have any Gold Foils LEGENDARY REWARD CARD at all). I then combined the 2 cards and Foila I got a level 3 Gold Foils LEGENDARY REWARD CARD from Musa Saline.

My unachieved goal since the previous post until now is to get hundreds or thousands of SPS in 1 CHEST. Unfortunately, I found out the bitter truth that it might be possible if I battle in the DIAMOND League and CHAMPION League (which will certainly be difficult for me for now).

Advice for Beginners

I'll probably say one painful thing to newbies who will be playing this game, "It will be very difficult for you to get through the Bronze and Silver Leagues ". I say this because I read the experiences of other players who are currently (or may have been) in the Bronze and Silver Leagues (especially in MODERN LEAGUE). Because you (beginners) have no experience and have not learned about the favorite card combinations and formations in each battle.

But luckily at SPLINTERLANDS, you can learn the ins and outs of cards, formations, and so on easily (without even leaving the SPLINTERLANDS website).
