Hello everyone and welcome again!

Another week has arrived with a new Battle Challenge, this time using Splinter Death and one of the cards I like the most of this element, the Life Sapper, you are going to give it a little analysis in this post so I hope you like it.

In case you don't know it...

Introducing Life Sapper!

Edition: Chaos Legion.
Rarity: Rare.
Element: Death.
Attack: Magic.
Mana Cost: 3 points.

Abilities:

  • Vampirism at lvl 1

  • Redemption at lvl 8

An as the lore says:

Life sappers are in between life and death. One side of their body is ghostly while the other is alive and well. They are neither fully living nor dead. They feed off the energies around them, and simply being within view of a Life Sapper will make you feel sick and weak. They siphon energy from their victims, slowly weakening and sickening them while simultaneously healing themselves.
“Paladins, clerics, and healers of the world don't bother trying to save a Life Sapper as it may be the last thing you'll do. Hold dear to your worldly bodies and pray to whichever gods you know that you do not become lost in the in-between.”

-- Malaus Dawnforge, University of Illumination Priest

How to use Life Sapper?

This card has magic attack and quite low stats since its mana cost is very low, this would seem to condemn it to low mana battles but its Vampirism allows it to be much more multifaceted giving it space to be used in all kinds of battles, like the one I bring you today. The idea is to always play her in the secondary line giving her space and time so that thanks to her first ability she can reach the tank position with a lot of life stolen, if you have against a team that uses healing this card becomes dangerous for the enemy because you can increase their life points in incredible amounts.

And for last, my battle!

Round 1.

Close Range + Holy Protection; 48 mana cap.

Knowing that my opponent was going to use magic, it was the perfect occasion to send a lineup completely dedicated to bring down magic, that's why I used this summoner.

  • Bone Golem is the perfect tank against magic because it has Void and that added to Magic Reflect is deadly for magic damage cards.

  • War Chaang to be a new tank that could do a lot of damage thanks to the ruleset.

  • Djinn Muirat is another perfect anti magic with this summoner.

  • Ancient Lich is perfect because he can heal himself with his attacks and takes less magic damage and thanks to the summoner, he returns the damage received.

  • Life Sapper is a kind of Ancient Lich but with low mana, as I explained in this post.

  • Lira the Dark because... why not? it's such a good card that whenever you can use it, you should use it.

Round 2.

One of the best effects of my summoner's ability was to remove Holy Protection from all opposing cards, giving me an incredibly big advantage in this battle, and on top of that my team took care of removing the enemy Mycelic Slipspawm.

Round 3.

Already in this round things were looking extremely bad for my opponent who had already lost another card and whose only standing threat was his Mustang Unicorn was not going to last much longer, his last two cards were doomed to die as soon as they attacked.

Round 4.

And that was it for my opponent.

Knowing how to anticipate enemy moves is something very important in this game and this battle is the proof of that, he literally had no chance to beat me with this lineup.

What was my experience with this card?

Life Sapper is a card that you have to have in your Death deck because it is one of the most versatile cards that this splinter has, in addition to all the good things it has when you play it at maximum level that Redemption is a marvel, so wherever you look it is a card that will always be beneficial to use.

Thank you very much for reading my post, I hope to see you in the next one, see you soon!
