50 Cent SPS By Rift Watchers?

Gank and I were talking on stream the other night about the future price of SPS and he through out a huge number which is almost a 9x move from here.

He said that SPS could hit fifty cents by Rift Watchers.

At first I started to laugh and say that that wasn't possible, but he made some good points.

First the airdrop is over, and people are going to need to buy SPS or earn it through staking rewards. Soon they'll be able to earn SPS in battle, but only if they have it staked.

So when people realize they can get more rewards if they have SPS staked, then we could see a lot of big buys that goes into staking. That will drive the price up.

The more value you get for battling, the more people are going to stake SPS.

Additionally, the team at Splinterlands mentioned that they are looking to airdrop game assets to SPS holders for some of the new projects they are working on.

Add the growing need to SPS and the growing rewards to the fact that we expect SPS to go up around Rift Watchers and you have a path to a fifty cent SPS.

Since Rift Watcher can only be purchased with SPS, we might see a real nice spike close to release date. That is on top of the demand for staking.

Gank is right, we could see a fifty cent SPS, but it is hard to imagine a world where SPS goes down as these new features and cards get rolled out.
