SPS Governance Proposal - Extend Visions of Verico Sale with Building Foreman Info
Proposal: Extend the Visions of Verico Pack Sale with Building Foreman Info
Purpose
The purpose of this proposal is to allow the SPS DAO to vote on whether the Visions of Verico pack sale should be extended.
The original plan was to keep the sale window relatively short. However, with the recent announcement of the Building Foreman system, multiple community members have requested an extension. This would provide:
- More time for players to purchase packs.
- More time for the DAO to sell the remaining inventory.
- Additional opportunity for players to acquire land cards before they become significantly more important to land production.
Since the SPS DAO owns all remaining packs and is the beneficiary of all pack sale revenue, the decision to extend the sale should be made by the DAO.
Additional Building Foreman Info
The Building Foreman system has been announced with the following information:
Building Foreman Card Production (PP)
A Building Foreman's production output is determined by how close the card is to its maximum level, not by its rarity.
Max-Level Rule
- Any fully maxed land card provides 100% of its maximum production potential, regardless of whether it is Common or Legendary.
Low-Level Scaling
At lower levels, production scales based on overall progression toward the card's maximum level.
For example:
- A Level 1 Legendary produces more than a Level 1 Common because a Level 1 Legendary represents 1/11 of its progression to max level, while a Level 1 Common represents only 1/400 of its progression.
Building Tiers & Worker Slots
The capacity of a production facility is determined entirely by the building's Tier.
Capacity
- Upgrading a building's Tier unlocks additional worker slots.
- Higher Tiers also increase the maximum amount of Production Points (PP) the building can support.
Production Cap
- A building cannot produce more than the maximum PP allowed by its current Tier, regardless of the workers assigned.
Building Foremen
A Building Foreman is required for a building to operate at its full potential.
Without a Building Foreman, the building will have no production.
Foreman Rules
Only one Foreman can be assigned to each building.
Any card with a Land ability may serve as a Foreman, including:
- Electrofox
- Existing land cards
- Potential future land cards that receive a Land ability
Level Scaling
- A partially leveled card can be used as a Foreman.
- However, the building's maximum production scales proportionally with the Foreman's level.
- A fully maxed Foreman is required to unlock 100% of a building's production potential.
Proposed Change
If this proposal passes, the Visions of Verico pack sale will be extended through December 31st, 2026, unless all packs are sold before that date.
If any packs remain unsold on December 31st, 2026, they will be transferred to the @sps.dao account as originally planned.

STOPAgain: NO.
Even though there’s finally clarity about the role of the Foreman with this new proposal, the basic fatal flaw of the original proposal remains: the cards will be way too long on sale (long after the reward system (foils, mystery cards etc.) is in place which will cause devaluation of value.
Change the proposal to a limited extension of time (maximum one month extension, preferably less), and I’ll change my mind.
Thanks for the feedback, that's a very good point. Going to the end of the year might be too long for the Public sale.
But the same logic applies to main set packs sales. The conflicts start long before the end of the sale. I don't think that is a great reason to vote it down. If we want people to actually participate in buildings they need time to acquire the cards
I agree on the timing. I WANT to see this extended because I'd be more in a position to buy in Aug. But Not through Dec. I really want this to pass as a small player. I'd suggest setting it like the summer packs through Aug or Sept. (I forgot how far they extended that.)
Thank you for running this proposal. I
voted yes for the first proposal as even without the land foreman information I wanted to be able to spend some of my next monthly entertainment budget but with a one month sale that was impossible.
No releases should, in my opinion, have such a short window of sale if we want players to buy product from the team/dao.
forman thing kind of sucks, no? I am starting to tire.
Allow us to build defenses and attack each other or something. we are just going in circles.
we need something real,something fun.
You are all down voting this as a protest of the game designer's decision to make the land cards essential/necessary for land buildings.
That is a short term, zero future, selfish viewpoint.
You can not effectively protest the game designer's long term vision with a vote. You are not a game designer and neither am I. Unless you can come up with something interesting that is positive that will lead us down another virtuous path why are you protesting this?
You are harming your own card and land asset values and putting yourselves in a weak position.
This is not going to work out for you.
You are trying to ice skate uphill.
All this time you saw Matt lead us out of darkness and hand over control to Dave and you still question him on his game design decisions?
