Chaos Legion in Silver on a Budget - Priorities Cards to Level for Each Splinter!

avatar

With under a week now until the @splinterlands Chaos Legion launch, I’ve decided to take a look at every single card for every single splinter and find the ones that really shine in the Silver level - where the majority of the player base sits in! The Silver level is an odd place for a lot of cards - not gaining new abilities until the first level of Gold play - but some really stand out as powerful in the Silver level!

Throughout this week, I’m going to go through each splinter in order and highlight five cards in each Splinter. There are a lot of powerful cards in each splinter - but here are what I consider the priorities to level to their max in Silver.

First of all is Tarsa and the new Fire cards. This is shaping up to be one of the stronger Splinter in this expansion - and for good reason! As an almost direct upgrade to Malric, Tarsa is positioned to be particularly strong in the lower Tiers. While a lot of the Non-Melee cards gain strong effects at high levels (Lava Spider with Poison at max level, Slow on Scavo Chemist at level 6), at the low ranks Melee cards with Tarsa really shine. So obviously, my Top 5 kicks off with one of them in the Radiated Brute!

With Reach and 6 health, the Brute is a solid Off-Tank at 5 mana for the Fire Splinter. With Tarsa he hits for a solid 4 Damage, and with 3 Speed he’s hitting relatively early in the round, especially if your opponent hasn’t levelled their cards! As a Common card, 60 BCX for the Brute should be fairly cheap, and will be a solid addition to your Fire Deck at the mid-high Mana Caps.

At number 4 we have Tusk The Wide:

Fire has always struggled vs Magic Damage - but Tusk is here to change this! At Level 1 Tusk is a solid tank, but those with a little more budget should look to Level him up to Level 3 where he packs an extra HP and Damage to help him clear the danger as well as tank the hits. A must have in your deck at at least Level 1 - and great to Level up too!

In at number 3 is Antoid Platoon:

Fire has always been extremely effective in low Mana Caps, and Antoid Platoon is another card that fits that bill! For only 4 Mana, you get Shield, and alongside Tarsa, 7 effective hit points. This card is going to be incredible in Little League Battles, and in low Mana Caps lets you squeeze in an extra attacker to if you were to use Living Lava.

My 2nd favourite card from Chaos Legion for Fire has to be the Forgotten One:

Like the other Epic card, Tusk, you HAVE to own this at Level 1 at least, as it is a huge advantage in Poison Battles, rocking Immunity from the off. However, those of you who can Level it up, should. At level 3, this card gains Retaliate, and with 5 Attack alongside Tarsa, anyone hitting this guy is going to get HURT! This takes The Forgotten One to a “Only pick in Poison battles” to a solid Tank in High Mana Caps.

But above all the other cards the Fire Splinter gains this set, one reigns supreme. And for me, that is the Tenyi Striker:

With 4 Damage, 3 Speed and 7 Health, alongside Dodge, this guy is going to win you games at Level 4. He’s going to One-Shot your opponents Backline with his Attacks often, and if he gets to the front he’s going to Dodge your opponents strikes often! This is my priority card to Level in Chaos Legion for Fire - and I think it should be yours too!

And that wraps up my Top 5 for Fire in Chaos Legion. What do you guys think? Comment below if you Agree or Disagree - I would love to hear your thoughts!

Tomorrow I’m going to tackle Water!
