"Black Dragon" - SPL - Fan Art /// First Post-First Entry
Hi there!
I'm a young female artist who loves to paint and draw.
I take this as my intro post, and thank @djrockx to encourage me to do so.
I'm on a mission to find my own unique style and have finally mustered up the courage to enter a picture to the contest. It's a big step for me, but I'm excited to showcase my skills and hopefully inspire others to pursue their artistic dreams too.
I believe that being an artist is all about taking risks and learning from our mistakes.
So, I'm looking forward to the journey ahead and seeing where my creativity will take me.
My inspiration for the contest picture was the "Black Dragon," which I had been wanting to draw for a long time. I decided to use watercolor as my medium and created two drafts before finalizing my entry.
In the first draft, I drew the dragon in a full-body pose, but it didn't turn out as I had hoped.
So, for the second draft, I decided to try something different and drew the dragon in a profile-like painting. This allowed me to showcase the details and features of the dragon's face, which I had always found fascinating. I was pleased with the result and felt that it captured the essence of what I had envisioned.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my passion and explore new techniques.
I will keep challenging myself to improve and create even more as an artist.

Last thing, i would suggest, when you are ready, to make a proper introduction post. Tell a bit more about yourself and your interests and maybe repeat how you got to Hive. Make sure to use the tags #introducemyself and #introduceyourself as your first two tags and it will get picked up by the onboarding curators looking for new users.
