BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! FOG OF WAR......

In my continued effort to bring you low quality, repetitive, cyclical, drivel on a weekly basis, in a change from the precious metals related rhetoric i usually bang on about, i now offer to you my loyal followers, a bang average #splinterlands blog.

Without much thought, or deep contemplation, ill be sharing with you few brave souls that have taken the time to read this post, my weekly BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge!. The "share your battle" challange has ended, where the @splinterlands team asked you to share a battle with a specific monster, and now its more about a specific ruleset. This new weekly challenge definitely has its upside, as it allows a wider audience to take part, even when their battle decks are limited.

This week, the team over at #splinterlands has asked us to share a battle with the ruleset "FOG OF WAR". As the name suggests, all monsters taking part in the battle "technically" loose the ability to see where theyre firing, so always aim for the monster in the TANK position....

This ruleset, can completely flip a battle on its head! Conventional battle plans go straight out the window, it also creates a whole new style of play. Sneak, snipe and opportunity are out the window, its a case of front load your defence and hope for the best!!

Fog of war doesnt prevent a range attack monster from attacking, it just nullifies its ability and makes it a straight shooter.

Lets go play #splinterlands...... Its not like you can pick and choose the rulesets for every battle! After playing what seemed like my full allocation of 50 battles, i finally came across the ruleset i was waiting for:

But doing what #splinterlands does best, they threw a spanner in the works by adding an additional ruleset alongside FIRE AND REFLECT just to mess with my mind and really get me thinking.

WANDS OUT: Only monsters with magic attack may be used in battle RISE OF THE COMMONS: Only common and rare monsters maybe usee in battle

Taking these rulesets in to consideration and the summoner choices available to me, I actually decided that for this specific battle, with these specific ruleset, I would pick my tried and tested LVL5 ALRIC STORMBRINGER to use some pretty hard hitting water splinter, magic monsters. The lack of Legendary and Epic cards, plus the low mana points, would make this a very difficult battle to pick a great lineup

To give my magic attack monsters the best chance of winning, I decided it was a toss up between Alric and Obsidian.... With low manna games, only taking up 3 mana pointa as apposed to the 4 of Obsidian, was the reason to choose Alric.

In the end it didnt matter, as i chose my lvl 5 Prismatic Energy, which is a neutral monster, so made the summoner irrelevant.

Once the two teams are revealed, I always have a quick look at my opponents set up, before hitting rumble. I like to playout in my head how i think the battle will unfold. I try and predict what i think the outcome may be, and judge how well my opponents have set up thier team.

Now...... Before you even watch the battle playout, can you all notice something blindingly obvious??

The stage was set, two strong, identical, "Magic splinter" summoner teams were sure to give a great battle.

Well!!! That doesnt happen oftto me.... A draw! I cant even show you any screen shots, to show how it played out, as every time i hit rumble, it goes straight to the result page (above).

I checked using the SPLINTERTOOL page, the battle shows me as having a 0% of pulling of a win. Which probably means, we are eternally destined to play out draw after draw after draw. Guess @itachisusano and I are very similar when approaching team building on splinterlands.

Would you have picked a different team/combonation? If so let me knownin the comments below. I think ive thouggt of a combo that would eventually lead me to victory, but given the exact ruleset/mana as above, can you pick a team to beat me?
