BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! HOLY PROTECTION.....

In my continued effort to bring you low quality, repetitive, cyclical, drivel on a weekly basis, in a change from the precious metals related rhetoric i usually bang on about, i now offer to you my loyal followers, a bang average #splinterlands blog.

Without much thought, or deep contemplation, ill be sharing with you few brave souls that have taken the time to read this post, my weekly BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge!. The "share your battle" challange has ended, where the @splinterlands team asked you to share a battle with a specific monster, and now its more about a specific ruleset. This new weekly challenge definitely has its upside, as it allows a wider audience to take part, even when their battle decks are limited.

This week, the team over at #splinterlands has asked us to share a battle with the ruleset "HOLY PROTECTION". As the name suggests, ALL monsters gain the DEVINE SHIELD ability! Its basically a FREE hit.... The first attack, regardless of its size, does 0 damage to the receiving monster.

This ruleset, can completely flip a battle on its head! Conventional battle plans go straight out the window, it also creates a whole new style of play. Getting a first strike "get out of jail free" card can mean monsters with low health find a place further up the starting lineup. It also means monsters with "double strike" or "blast" are now extremely dangerous monsters.

Lets go play #splinterlands...... Its not like you can pick and choose the rulesets for every battle! After playing what seemed like my full allocation of 50 battles, i finally came across the ruleset i was waiting for:

But doing what #splinterlands does best, they threw a spanner in the works by adding an additional ruleset alongside HEALED OUT just to mess with my mind and really get me thinking.

TIS BUT SCRATCHES: All monster have the cripple ability. Monsters that take damage to shields, tehn take damage to health whilst still keeping their shielding....

Taking these rulesets into consideration and the limited summoner choices available to me, I actually decided that for this specific battle, with these specific ruleset, I would pick my tried and tested Daria Dragonscale to hopefully use her +1 MELEE attack ability to give me that extra punching power to knock my opponents out early.

As you can see, its not a bed line up!??! Ive managed to fill all the slots available and use up a large junk of the mana points available for this battle.

Once the two teams are revealed, I always have a quick look at my opponents set up, before hitting rumble. I like to playout in my head how i think the battle will unfold. I try and predict what i think the outcome may be, and judge how well my opponents have set up thier team. With the high mana and restricted splinters, i think ive done quite well and built a very competitive team....

So can my lvl 3 summoner take out my opponents lvl 4 summoner?? Its going to be tough.... They definitely have some decent monsters out on display, especially in the tank position, but lets hit rumble and see how this plays out!!

The stage was set, two strong summoners, with great, somewhat similar teams are sure to give a great battle.

That escalated quickly.... I was suprisee how fast my team made short work of my opponents lvl4 Unicorn Mustang. With his tank oit the way and his magic attacks causing no damage to my unicorn, it looks like this battle could benover as soon as it started. Lets see if they have a small revival in the latter rounds.

Round two carried off where round one ended..... My melee monsters picking off his, the speed of my range attacks and the double strike of my Carnage Titan causin, well carnage, victory could be with in my grasp early.

This battle surely must be over in the next round? Now that his Oaken Behemoth has been taken care of, its just a matter of time now.

Theres no stopping me now. One last magic konster and his ramge attacks will be null and void in the tank position and victory assured. The speed of my ranged attack monsters, paired eith the healing of my goblin, added to the -1magic of my mushroon seeker was a winning combination.

Turns out it was a complete and utter blowout in the end! Im pretty chuffed with hiw that played out.... couldnt have gone any better i dont think???

I checked using the SPLINTERTOOL page, the battle shows me as having a 99% of pulling of the win.
