BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! LITTLE LEAGUE......

In my continued effort to bring you low quality, repetitive, cyclical, drivel on a weekly basis, in a change from the precious metals related rhetoric i usually bang on about, i now offer to you my loyal followers, a bang average #splinterlands blog.

Without much thought, or deep contemplation, ill be sharing with you few brave souls that have taken the time to read this post, my weekly BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge!. The "share your battle" challange has ended, where the @splinterlands team asked you to share a battle with a specific monster, and now its more about a specific ruleset. This new weekly challenge definitely has its upside, as it allows a wider audience to take part, even when their battle decks are limited.

This week, the team over at #splinterlands has asked us to share a battle with the ruleset "LITTLE LEAGUE". As the name suggests, ONLY "baby" monsters with a mana cost less than 4 can be used. Forget your big boys, this is all about picking the little monster that pack a serious punch....

This ruleset, can completely flip a battle on its head! Conventional battle plans go straight out the window, it also creates a whole new style of play. With the correct selection, it is posdible to field a suprisingly deadly team.

Lets go play #splinterlands...... Its not like you can pick and choose the rulesets for every battle! After playing what seemed like my full allocation of 50 battles, i finally came across the ruleset i was waiting for:

Scrap that..... I had to wait for this ruleset to appear in my guilds brawl.

But doing what #splinterlands does best, they threw a spanner in the works by adding additional rulesets alongside LITTLE LEAGUE just to mess with my mind and really get me thinking.

EQUALIZER: The initial health of all monsters is equal to that of the monster on either team with the highest base health. What a ruleset to pair with.... The ruleset has the potential to turn thise "baby" monsters in to full on monsters!!

HEAVY HITTERS: All monsters have the knock out ability. You want to hope you dont get stunned....

Taking these rulesets into consideration and the limited summoner choices available to me, I actually decided that for this specific battle, with these specific ruleset, I would pick my tried and tested LVL 5 Malric Inferno to hopefully use his +1 MELE attack ability to give me that extra advantage over my opponents and because I feel of the .summoner choices available to me, I could build a better fighting deck with him. Since this a guild brawl, my lvl 5 Malric, is capped at lvl 4.... This shouldnt pose much of a problem, as the team I have in mind should still be pretty deadly!

As you can see, its not a bed line up!??! Ive managed to fill all the slots available and use up the bulk of the mana points available for this battle.

Once the two teams are revealed, I always have a quick look at my opponents set up, before hitting rumble. I like to playout in my head how i think the battle will unfold. I try and predict what i think the outcome may be, and judge how well my opponents have set up thier team. With the low mana and restricted splinters, I think ive done quite well and built a very competitive team.... What i will say, from the off, my Enchanted Defender is now useless at the back! I had hoped my opponent may have used some sneak attack monsters, and his thorns would habe combated this. But with his magic attacks focusing on my tank, hindsight is a fantastic thing.

So can my lvl 4 summoner take out my opponents lvl 3 WATER summoner?? Its going to be tough.... They definitely have some decent monsters out on display. The +1magic attack always scares me, its ability to bypass shields and never miss, makes it a very difficult attack to defeat. With that said im sure its going to be a challenging battle. Lets hit rumble and see how this plays out!!

The stage was set, two strong summoners, with very different approaches, these teams are sure to give a great battle.

Summoners do their things, any monsters with abilities do their things, and were off!! Not exactly a healthy team.... I was hoping that my opponent may have put in at least one monster with high health.... Still 4 health makes for an interesting and quick battle.

Round two carried off where round one ended..... My superior speed being the deciding factor.1

My Exploding rats nlast ability, paired with my Serpentine Spys speed was far too strong for my opponent monsters. Adding my own magic attacks(with their superior speed) was the difference in this brawl

Fair play to my opponents magic attacks, they kept firing away, but by this stage my superior numbers and speed had this battle in the bag.

VICTORY!!!..... If my Serpentine Spy doesnt finish him off with his +4 mele attack, then my FLAME IMP and BEETLE QUEEN will do the job. Turns out speed does trump the power of magic.

Turns out it was a complete and utter blowout in the end! Im pretty chuffed with how that played out.... couldnt have gone any better i dont think???

I checked using the SPLINTERTOOL page, the battle shows me as having a 100% of pulling of the win.
