I have a noob question I'm hoping someone can help me with, since I'm fairly new to Splinterlands and this is my first time seeing this sort of thing...
I want to make sure I understand this line: "all Chaos Legion booster packs purchased to date are also eligible, and after the airdrop the card will be available to be found in all packs opened going forward."
If I understand correctly, this means that people who have packs purchased prior to the announcement of this card, but who have not yet opened those packs, may possibly have this card added to those packs after the card is "unlocked." Is that correct? I've been doing collectible cards since the early 90s, so this concept sort of blows my mind.
Yes before airdrop of new cards any packs wont have the possibility of finding that card when opening but after the card is airdropped it becomes possible to find randomly in the pack based on its rarity. Also people that previously purchased packs officially in game are eligible for free airdrop cards based on total packs bought in the life of that particular set.

Yes! This is part of the magic of digital blockchain card gaming! Plus... every single pack you previously purchased has a small additional chance of receiving a free airdrop of this card!! Ie if you bought 10 packs you can possibly win 10 free cards. Chances of that are VERY slim but it is possible! Every pack previously purchased gets to roll the dice to see if they win a card...
Wow, that's pretty amazing! Makes me feel a bit like a dinosaur, but it's an awesome benefit all the same. 😄
