Chat With Legends: WOO Triple Threat AMA Recap and Wrestlecon Announcement!!

Hey wrestling enthusiasts, WOOians, and all Hivians! Yesterday, we had an amazing time at the WOO Triple Threat AMA (Ask Me Anything) featuring wrestling legends and WOO partners Justin Credible, Perry Saturn, and Sonny Onoo. Kudos to our visionary of WOO - Wrestling Organization Online, @bookerman for posing fantastic questions and providing all members with the chance to ask theirs. Unsure if a transcript or recording will be available, but if you missed it, you missed out! Lucky for you, I'm here to give you a brief overview of what went down. While I may not remember everything, I'll share what I can.

Alright, let's cut the chatter and get down to business:

To begin, I must say it was truly awesome and a genuine fan moment witnessing the legends interacting. The joy among them as they engaged with each other and addressed our questions was palpable.

Advice from Perry Saturn for the younger generation.

I recall asking Perry Saturn a question, and one that stands out is - "if you could give advice to aspiring wrestlers based on your experience, what key lessons would you emphasize?

His response was noteworthy; in his own words, he said:
"Be nice to everyone, no matter who you think it is, stay off of drugs, and have a back up plan".

Our visionary @bookerman then praised the advice as a solid triangle, emphasizing the unpredictability of future career paths. This wisdom extends beyond wrestling—it's a life lesson. Perry added a humorous touch, saying, "You never know when you're gonna wake up and find out that Vince McMahon owns the whole business and there are no other companies left." This brought laughter, resonating with wrestling history aficionados.

Sonny's insights on relationships:

Another question I posed to Sonny Onoo was: "As a manger and behind the scenes figure, what challenges did you face during the Monday night Wars, managing and interacting with different talents".

Sonny described his position as a stroke of luck, considering he was the sole Japanese manager fluent in both Japanese and English. This afforded him the chance to manage all the great Japanese wrestlers like The Great Muta, Akira Hokuto and all others. It made sense to have a Japanese manager for Japanese wrestlers, and this experience opened numerous opportunities for him, even continuing today. He mentioned that many, although not active in wrestling currently, are thriving and managing their own promotions. Thanks to the relationships he built, he can pick up the phone and call them whenever he wanted.

How Justin Credible manages the public perception of his character versus his true self:

The question I posed to Justin Credible was:

In an industry that often blurs the lines between fiction and reality, how do you handle the public perception of your character?

His response was straightforward; he mentioned it wasn't challenging for him. He believes in keeping work and personal life separate. Justin Credible is his character for work, while in real life, he lives as PJ. This approach is valuable advice, as it helps prevent the blending of work and personal life, allowing for a more balanced and fulfilling existence.

These are the few questions I had the privilege to ask these great legends. My fellow WOO members also posed some super awesome questions, which I'll discuss in a separate post.

At the end of this fantastic section, @bookerman made another exciting announcement – all the wrestling partners of WOO will be at Wrestlecon in Philadelphia next April. It's an event worth experiencing.

great participation & break down. it was definitely one of the top 3 AMAs that we've had in WOO with the partnered wrestlers so far, and we have soooo many more to come.
