Intro

Hello everyone, this post will be dedicated to this week Social Media Challenge. So main idea that I will be sharing with you guys Is what I experienced with playing for the first time in the Gold League. Well maybe some of you may think that playing in Gold League is just a regular thing, but for a small league and a low-cost player like me this hypes me up to focus on accumulating and investing in this game and taking this game seriously.

Regarding the current uncertainty in the market and many players starting to Hiatus on Splinterland, I am taking this chance to increase my knowledge and try to play on higher League with renting maximum level card and using kinda maxed out Death Deck. Maybe my actions can be seen as a waste of money but regardless of what people think, I think the most important aspect in playing games must be put first also that is HAVING FUN a terminology that may some of us forget in playing especially in P2E Games. I am also finally seeing some maximal potential of cards that are kinda cheap right now and might be worth accumulating and seeing the expected price increase in just a few years later. I am hoping that my experience might help other people to push their ratings to in Gold League

What I Rented

Summoners

I am renting Mimosa because I am curious about what Legendary Summoners might offer. And also stat-wise I think it will counter Magic's enemy hard. With Affliction debuff and also -1 Ranged attack I think it's a solid pick.

I am renting this card because I want to try Owster in Higher League and see my magic enemy gets magic reflected if they attack my unit.

This card is what I think I want to accumulate because it's quite balanced and the current price is quite cheap. Death Deck is also quite powerful and easy to use in my opinion and this card is a really good investment or maybe I can say Best Rare Chaos Legion Summoner.

Tankers

I am using Lord of Darkness at Lv3 because it's quite tanky and with good abilities like enrage, shield, and stun. Giving him a solid tank for 1st position

At Lvl 6 Cursed Windeku will give you Heal that makes it tanky. In addition, Thorns will help a lot against Melee's enemy.

With Immunity, Harklaw is your main to-go tank if you are faced with poison rules or if your enemy has many Poison effects. Demoralize also acts as a very useful debuff against melee units and with its passive Shield Harklaw wins a lot against melee or range unit.

Haunted Spirit is Good Alternative that is quite similar to Cursed Windeku but you can unlock its full abilities at Lvl 5 so it's more useful in Silver League

Usually, i use bone Golem if I knew my enemy went full magic and its Repairability is useful to help maintain its tackiness against enemy with ranged or melee attack.

Damage Dealer

This card can be your 2nd Liner Tank because its passive is quite tanky with magic reflect and Void. Giant Killer can also help kill the enemy with High Mana so its a Solid pick for Damage Dealer

Ancient Lich hits hard with its damage and also with its Leach and Void it can be very tanky against the magic enemy.

This card gives a lot of potential with its quiet mana cap and its crippling ability. Its High speed can easily be taking down squishy enemies at back

This card is a solid pick for ranged units, with its snipe abilities and Dodge passive it can easily withstand enemy attacks and give maximal damage

As the newest reward card from Airdrop this card hits hard with 4 Ranged attacks. And also Opportunity, Snare, and Swiftness its really good buff, and combined with her fast speed it will be the main damage dealer for Death Deck

Dark Ferrymancan is your main to-go damage dealer in a low mana cost battle. Its cripple can also help make the enemy squishier.

As many of you know Doctor Blight is a really powerful card with its Poison and Affliction it can really hurt enemy with high health and healing abilities. With Scavenge and its camouflage ability it can give him a lot of survivability in the game against sniping enemies.

Support

With its low mana cap and Silence ability, it is a solid pick against the magic enemy, His snipe and fast speed combo also helps in eliminating squishy heroes fast

You can use this card in low mana cap battle to debuff enemy with its -1 Health it can be combined with Thadius Buff that can easily kill squishy enemies heled with snipe abilities from another monster. The slow debuff can also help in overall

With poison in the rule , i tried using unit with high attack and using Ancient Lich it might give him sustainability with its Leech Ablity. Dr Blight Scavenge might also help with the survivability.

This Battle serves the justice for Mimosa giving her Queen of Anti Magic Title. All of the magic damage are nerfed, giving Alric and his unit hard time facing my unit despite opportunity rules.

The Mighty Yodin Zaku also having a hard time in facing magic damage from my units. Using Djinn Muirat as double tank is quite helpful too. Using Lira with its highspeed is really OP in killing squishy unit fast.

This battle i anticipated enemy using magic attack, but despite my miscalculation the damage done is to big for the enemy to handle.

In this poison rules i tried to maximize my Thadius Brood and Debuff from Undead Priest to help reduce enemy as much as possible.

Conclusion

I had some really fun games playing with Death Splinter especially renting some cards and experiencing with many buffs and debuffs in Higher Leagues. It enriches me in my long-term journey in Splinterland and gives me a more long-term view about some cards that I think might be useless in the lower league but it might give its best potential at a higher league. I rented about 600 Dec and Earned around 300 Dec giving back half of my investment. But despite of that it really fun for me to play at that level and encourages me to invest more into Collection Power and card.
