Intro

Hello everyone in this post I will be sharing my experience in using Wood Nymph in Battle! Also, this post will be my entry to Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge (Join it if you can)

As the current META (Read: Most Efficient Tactic Available) is changing regarding the Chaos Legion card edition release and the new available starter deck changes. Players also need to level up their game to earn the best possible rewards in the game.

From a brief perspective this card was suitable with the current META. Using Obsidian as the main summoner, Wood Nymph Healing Effect, Magic attack and its low-cost mana at 4 may bring a further utility in Earth Deck . You can use this card as alternative to the available goblin healer or use them both as healer to make the tank soak up more damage.

Ruleset and Manacap

• Ruleset : Earthquake
• Manacap : 24

Im thinking about using Earth Deck to fastly end the game by using magic that penetrates the armor. Also medium mana available was quite a good situation to play Earth Magic Deck

Lineup

Based on the past battles , my enemy preferred to use melee attack and with the earthquake situation I think he would use either Tarsa or Mother Khala as a summoner.

• Im using Obsidian as Summoner to fully maximize the magic damage for my team

• Xenith Monk was used as a main tanker because its cheap and quite tanky with 6 Hp

• Im using Peryton Regal as 2nd Tanker in case Xenith Monk Dies because it has high movement , flying ability , and 5Hp so it can withstand some Melee Attack

• Im using Enchanted Pixie because its low cost and using magic damage , Flying ability also help in this situations

• Wood Nymph was used in 4th Position to heal and protect from sneak attackers

• Queen Mycelia indeed was the main card and hugely affect my team because its passive giving armor that can help melee enemies at bay and give some sustainability against earthquake for non Flying monster.

Enemy Lineup

Battle

During the First Turn my lineup was able to eliminate Gargoya Scraper and Stich Leech because high movement speed from my monster and enemy placement focus only on sustainability and using melee monster without any abilities in centre was not a smart move.

In this turn my Wood Nymph got eliminated because of earthquake and opportunity attack got her. Both parties flying units were still alive

Finally my team were killed because of earthquake and my unit have to face both enemies.

Luckily with Obsidian Magic Buff and also high movement speed and flying from Peryton Regal it was able to fend off the enemies. High probability to miss were also a huge consideration

Key Takeaways

• Using Earth Magic Lineup was a right decision and its also an easy strategy to use to climb up ranks ( You can also combine it with many kind of magic cards depending on the mana)
• Wood Nymph was effective in lower mana battles and still gives a lot of utility for Earth Deck. Its Price was quite affordable too right now pricing at around 4$
• Positioning is a Key , using Flying Unit at front help to reduce enemy attack and give the enemy melee unit hard time hitting my team
• Magic Damage was very effective in fighting against enemy that tends to use melee unit without any Void effect or - Magic effect from summoner or monster.
• Mycelia Queen was also very effective and very useful card to complement Earth Deck lack and expensive Taunt unit. (Magic monster in earth also tend to be slow so this card really helps to protect squishy monster from opportunity or sneak attack)
