The Fire Off-Tank: Radiated Brute!

(Edited)

Even before the Chaos Legion launch, fire summoners always seem strong. The +1 melee attack from Malric Inferno made most fire teams so brutally painful. After the Chaos Legion launch, I have started to like fire summoners even better because of Tarsa. She's such an upgrade from Malric Inferno. And she's at a great price too, currently sitting at $2.7 per bcx. I would recommend fellows to get some copies before it goes up in price, which is definitely going to happen giving the nature of this game.

Today, we are going to create a team combination that utilizes the Radiated Brute. Here's the stat:

I personally love to use him as an off-tank in the 2nd position because of his reach ability, moderate amount of health and damage.

Anyway! Here is the battle link for my battle using the Dragon team:

Let me share my reason for the team now.

The game has the following rulesets:

Melee Mayhem
Reverse Speed
Fire and Light splinters can be chosen.
Mana limit: 25

Reverse speed ruleset is perfect for fire team because most mainstream monsters in the fire deck is relatively slow. And the melee mayhem means melee monsters can attack from any position in the deck, which is also great for fire team because fire is known to have wonderful melee monsters. With these rulesets, I immediately think of the legendary Grum, paired with my leveled up Radiated Brute.

**I decided to go with the following team -

Summoner: Tarsa**

Grum: With reverse speed rulset, he's basically one of the fastest monsters. He's a decent tank with insane damage output when paired with his unique bloodlust ability. The only downside of Grum in this ruleset is that it's relatively expensive, causing 11 mana. But we can afford it in this team composition.

Radiated Brute: 5 mana, awesome offtank with reach ability, Radiated Brute often provides moderate amount of damage and health combined with Tarsa.

Fire Fiend: 0 mana! What else can we ask for? With Tarsa it's 2 melee attack and 2 health from 0 mana.

Chicken: 0 mana to take an extra hit from potential snipe/sneak/opportunity ability, that allows my other stronger monsters to deal additional damage by surviving longer.

Ant miner: The scavavenger ability is one of my favorites. Antminer only costs 2 mana, and if positioned well, it usually becomes a pain for the opponent to deal with.

Serpentine Spy: I've always wanted to get multiple copies of him because he's super strong for a 3 mana card. But he's a bit on the more expensive side. With Tarsa, 3 damage, 2 health for 3 mana.

My team combination worked well I'd say! I was surprised by the halving chemist because that reduced my Grum's damage drastically. But glad my team worked out nicely. Huge props to Radiated Brute and Serpentine Spy for dealing sufficient damage.

Hope you liked the battle. Let me know your thoughts on my team selection in the comments below.
