Weekly Battle Challenge: The Swift Supply Runner

avatar

I am so excited to share with you about this weekly battle challenge! Supply runner is one of the most useful monsters in Silver league. It gives the swiftness ability at level 5 which is within the level cap of silver. I would imagine such a useful ability to be available in Gold league instead. I have leveled him up to level 5 for personal use and I highly recommend you to do so too. The speed mega is super strong right now, if combined with Kelya, your monsters are going to be dodging machine as I'll show in my upcoming battle.

Here's a snapshot of his stats:

Imagine if we level him up to level 10, both abilities give a strong boost to your whole team, and the damage he provides is not bad at all being 3 damage ranged attack.

Anyway! Here is the battle link for my battle using Supply Runner and the Kelya summoner:

Let me share my reason for the team now.

The game has the following rulesets:

Divined Shields
Even Mana only
Fire, Water, Light, Death, and Dragon splinters can be chosen.
Mana limit: 56

I always love these high mana battles as it provides high flexibility in terms of combining different high utility monsters. When it comes to having a team composition with supply runner, the first one that comes to me is the Kelya summoner as it provides extra +1 speed and also +1 armor to protect all my monsters. Together, Kelya and supply runner provides +2 speed which are significant and make my team rather untouchable.

**I decided to go with the following team -

Summoner: Kelya

Chain Golem: Great tank with decent damage output, with shield and void and at level 2. He's like the perfect tank. If he's not so expensive, I may even consider buying it because I use him all the time. He's so hard to get through as the first tank which provides safety to my monsters behind.

Djinn Oshannus: High health, high speed, 2 magic damage, void, and phase. In this team composition, he has a speed of 7, meaning he can dodge most of the attacks including magic attacks, he survives much longer than we would normally expect from other monsters because of phase. He's perfect as the secondary tank, surviving while providing constant damage output.

Deeplurker: My major damage output, 5 damage with poison and opportunity. This monster is a killer and he does so much more than just 5 damage because of the poison. He also targets the lowest health monsters on the opponent team so it's perfect to surprise our opponents. This is my go-to monster whenever I can fit him in in my Kelya team.

Phantom of the Abyss: High mana monster! He uses 10 mana but look at his stats and abilities! With both flying and dodge, combined with the two speed added from Kelya and supply runner and his exceptionally high speed, he's untouchable and is like a dodging machine. Not to mention he has 3 mana damage and has demoralize which reduces opponents melee attack by 1. He's easily one of my favorite monsters.

Supply Runner: Swiftness ability is my favorite. I have to place him near the backline so he can deal constant damage while surviving for as long as possible to grant the whole team +1 speed. I chose to put him second to last instead of last just in case there's a sneak monster in the opponent team.

Azmare harpoonist: Another decent ranged monster at the backline, providing some protection for my supply runner while also dealing 3 damage each round. His snare ability is also perfect in this scenario, the opponent happens to use a summoner with the flying ability so this is like a direct counter. I am grateful.

My team combination worked well I'd say! What do you think?

Hope you liked the battle. Let me know your thoughts on my team selection in the comments below.
