Have You Heard About the "We Want Cody" Trend?

avatar

Alright, so I've decided to start a wrestling niche here on Hive. Yeah, I love wrestling, and I just didn't know I could discuss it on Hive. I checked out a couple of communities and realized it was a thing, so I decided to pick that up too. I hope it will be a fan journey. Big ups to the Wrestling Organization Online community, built by @wrestorgonline.

Now, I only like to talk about current stuff, so I will only bring the latest and trending info. For today's post, I want us to discuss a trend that is currently going on in the X space of the WWE universe.

You know, Cody Rhodes, Dusty's son, the dude who's got a story to finish, is perhaps the most popular good guy (babyface) in WWE, and that's even an understatement. He is the most talked about superstar in WWE, aside Roman Reigns and The Rock.

Right after last Friday night Smackdown event, there's been some social media movement with the hashtag

#WeWantCody

trending all over the place. Infact, it even trended, reaching number one in the United States at one point yesterday.

It seems there is some fans dissatisfaction with the Rock versus Roman storyline.

One of the most shocking things to see was fans booing the rock as WWE replayed smack down live. Yeah, that's electrifyingly shocking.

There's no doubt that Logan pulled does hold influence and him even tweaking out the words we want, Cody trolling or not. It's still gonna rile people up. It's still gonna get more people talking about this. And it's happening.

More and more the rock has responded kind of tonight, saying:

there is a word for this explosive, insane reaction. Undeniable, no matter the error, the decade or the city, the energy and connection between the people's champ, and the people can never be broken and is truly an electrifying experience that creates chills every single time. Thank you, Birmingham, Alabama. We made magical history in the magic city. Thank you wwe, thank you Cody.
For the love and the house (dream and soul man). Roman, There's only one head of the table. I'll see you in Vegas.

Soul man (Rocky Johnson, Rocks Dad) and (Dream, Dusty Rhodes, Cody's Dad).

What's your Take on this?

The Rock, the People's Champion, who is supposed to be for the people, just decided to ignore the people, " according to some fans out there". Hey, in his defense, he was only talking about what happened last Friday night. He is yet to read about what's going on due to his busy schedule 😂.

Come down guys, the people's champ is processing an electrifying decision to make about this situation.

Now, I'm also a Rocky fan, by the way, but I really feel Rock should have made a comment that addressed this issue, because people assumed he saw it, or someone might have informed him about the trend, which could potentially affect WrestleMania 40. If nothing, for the love of God, just stay silent until the next promo.

Now he has given me a whole new job of trying to defend his image to my buddies 🤦.

I will do it anyway, for my champ.

But does this rile you up?

Does this make you want to hate the match more?

Does it make you like The Rock more?

Let me know your thoughts in the comments down below.
