WWE WrestleMania 40: Road to the Main Events: Seth's Opponent.

avatar

After the end of the chaotic Press Conference held by WWE last Thursday in Las Vegas, the decision for WrestleMania 40's Second Night Main event was made.

Roman Reigns Going Up Against Cody Rhodes.

April 7th - Philadelphia Lincoln Financial Field

For the Universal Heavyweight Championship.

Paul Levesque (Ring name Triple H) came out in the just-ended Friday Night Smackdown and opened the show by making the WrestleMania match between Cody and Roman official.

He welcomed us to the "Road to WrestleMania 40".

Adam Pearce, the general manager of Raw, was then given the floor by Nick Aldis to tell us that the opponent of Seth Rollins, the champion on the Raw Brand, will be determined.

As it stands, the winner of the Upcoming Elimination Chamber Match PPV on February 24th will win his ticket and chance to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 for the WWE world heavyweight championship.

But before then, there are 12 men competing for this opportunity, and the Elimination Chamber Match involves only 6 men, who will come in at intervals. Whoever gets pinned in that match gets eliminated. The last man left after he pins the last but one opponent wins the match.

This only means that a qualifying match had to be set.

Adam Pearce introduced the 12 men who will be competing for their spot at the Elimination Chamber Match.

  • Randy Orton
  • Big Bronson Reed
  • Kevin Owens
  • Logan Paul
  • AJ Styles
  • The Miz
  • Bobby Lashley
  • Ivar
  • Drew McIntyre
  • Sami Zayn
  • Dominik Mysterio
  • LA Knight

The competition began last night, with Drew McIntyre going up against AJ Styles, which he won, and therefore qualifies to be a part of the upcoming Elimination chamber PPV.

What's your Prediction?

One can only predict based on the storylines and competitors presented that it seems obvious that Drew McIntyre is going to win this one.

Except, Maybe CM Punk gives us a surprise return at the elimination chamber. For those who have been following, the odds-on favorite to win the Rumble or the Elimination chamber and challenge Seth for the Belt was Punk. But after the rumble, we learned that he had torn his right tricep and because of that, he might not be able to compete for about 6 months.

Now we know WWE likes to give surprises and turn of events, and mostly lots of the things done are well-scripted. It could possibly be that Punk's injury might not have been as severe as he said, or probably, it didn't happen at all, it gives us some last-minute surprise leading to Wrestlemania.

WrestleMania 40 is about two months away, and anything is possible.
