Time for the BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge.

To spice up weakly battle challenge splinterlands came up with idea of BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge. BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge will allows players to showcase their strategic skills through their line up in battle field in variety of battle rulesets.

So theme for this week's BATTLE MAGE SECRETS challenge is Earthquake ruleset. Earthquake ruleset means all non-flying units take 2 physical damage at the end of every turn.

How to Play

Since in Earthquake ruleset all non-flying units perish every round so monsters with Flying ability are better suited for this ruleset.

Also abilities like Protect, Shield Repair and Snare are also suited best for this ruleset.

Moreover BRIGHTON BLOOM is the best summoner for this ruleset as it gives all friendlies Flying ability. Other suited summoners are YODIN ZAKU, KELYA FRENDUL, VERA SALACIA, WIZARD OF EASTWOOD, TYRUS PALADIUM, CHANSEUS THE GREAT, ASTRAL ENTITY, DRAKE OF ARNAK, BYZANTINE KITTY, LILY SHIELDPAW and LUX VEGA.

MY BATTLE WITH Earthquake RULESET

This was a 46 mana battle with three battle rules; Up Close & Personal, Reverse Speed and Earthquake. Only Water, Death and Dragon splinters were allowed.

MY LINEUP

BRIGHTON BLOOM

Since Earthquake ruleset was in play so I went with BRIGHTON BLOOM. It does gives you freedom of using any monster you like without having to worry about Flying ability. With BLOOM I chose to play with Death splinter because they have a really melee attack healer.

HARKLAW

Up front I used HARKLAW as tank. HARKLAW with its Immunity and Shield ability is indeed a nice summoner. Also that Demoralize ability is an added advantage especially in Up Close & Personal ruleset.

CORRUPTED PEGASUS

On one down I used CORRUPTED PEGASUS as a healer to my tank. CORRUPTED PEGASUS with its abilities like Flying, Reach, and Strengthen makes for a perfect one down healer.

DRAGON JUMPER

Next is the turn of opportunity monsters so I place one of the best Opportunity monster; DRAGON JUMPER. Heavy attack along with Snare, Stun, Flying and Opportunity ability make DRAGON JUMPER a highly desired monster in Earthquake ruleset.

SAND WORM

Next is used another Snare monster; SAND WORM. SAND WORM's heavy sneaking melee attack along with Snare make it a good choice for Earthquake ruleset.

RUNI

On the second last position, I used another Opportunity monster and this time its RUNI's turn. RUNI is quite unique as far as use case is concerned and it fits most of the battle conditions.

CURSED WINDEKU

On the last position, I used CURSED WINDEKU to fend off any sneak attempts. CURSED WINDEKU's Healing ability along with Thorns and Slow makes it perfect for the role of Sneak attack defender. Hell it can even serve as a nice tank too.

BATTLE ANALYSIS

This was a tight battle as enemy also came up with BRIGHTON BLOOM. My Snare and Sneak attack was the main difference also not to ignore my healer that kept on healing my tank.
