Splinterlands are nearing towards welcoming a new mini pack set 'Rift Watchers', as teased in recent town hall. Although details regarding Rift Watchers are still obscure, but some things we do know are SPS being currency required to buy them, a promo card only available for pre-sale. participants and pre-sale beginning next month.

Rift Watcher will for sure constitute amazing new monsters and summoners like the previous mini packs (Promo, Orbs and Dice) introduced before them. And like always there will only be a handful of Rift Watchers packs available for sale, meaning only a few players will ever be gonna get maxed Rift Watchers edition cards. And we all know what this means; fomo driving masses crazy resulting in a massive pump.

So what' will stop those big whales from scoping away all the RW packs before the general public can get their hands on them? The answer is the pre-sale. Like CL packs pre-sale, RW pre-sale is gonna limit the buying capacity of masses by mandatory Vouchers requirements. God, I see another vouchers pump just around the corner. SL team was right about vouchers, i.e. "you are never gonna get enough of them.

Apart from vouchers, SPS being the token required to buy RW is gonna have a decent pump too. Lets do the maths...

I am not sure about the total number of RW packs created but I am gonna assume it will be around one tenth of the total supply of CL i.e. 1 million. Assuming the official price may be some what around $8 a pack or $6 + Voucher during presale, payable in SPS ofcourse.
I am pretty sure RW are gonna get sold out completely even in presale, unless untill team reserves some for the general sale.
Now at current price of SPS ($0.069), a single RW is gonna cost 89 SPS($6 per pack) + Voucher during presale. This means those 1 million RW packs are gonna suck 89 million SPS out of circulation which is a huge chunk of token's circulating supply. And even if SPS price doubles from here, before RW pre-sale, still it will be approx. 45 million SPS going to DAO.

Even with conservatives assumptions, it is needless to say SPS price is due for a heavy pump. As of now price of SPS has dipped down to $0.069 so for all those looking to buy RW, now might be a good time to get the required SPS while its still cheap. And also don't forget Vouchers, as they tend to pump more aggressively due to a limited available supply.

I am all prepped up for the presale, as I plan on buying atleast 1000 RW packs during presale. Damn those 1000 packs are gonna drain my SPS holdings! But we can always earn SPS back but RW packs once gone will never be available for sale. I have already nearing 1000 vouchers and will sure power down SPS accordingly once pre-sale date gets announced.
