Time for the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge.
For this weeks battle challenge, we have a chaos legion monster, VENARI SPELLSMITH. VENARI SPELLSMITH is a rare neutral magic attack monster.
VENARI SPELLSMITH's lore is nothing but amazing:
A Venari Spellsmith is so dedicated to the art of spellcasting that magic itself became a part of them. While they themselves can manipulate magic to damage foes, magic burns through their veins. Upon death the radiating Mana explodes from their bodies, harming everyone around the Venari.
Costing just 4 mana, VENARI SPELLSMITH have mediocre physical stats, i.e. health of 4 and speed of 3. It possesses small magic attack of just 2 at max level. But the real charm of VENARI SPELLSMITH lies in the amazing abilities it possesses; Dispel, Amplify and Redemption. To me the real charm of VENARI SPELLSMITH lies in its Amplify ability.
I own lev-4 VENARI SPELLSMITH, which is enough for lower leagues. But to play in higher leagues, I usually rent maxed one.
Cost Analysis
Currently there are 91,617 normal foil and 6,542 gold foil VENARI SPELLSMITHs in circulation, costing 0.42$/BCX and 3.4$/BCX respectively. The cost is a bit higher compared to the other rare monster in the same league.
Favored Battle Rules
VENARI SPELLSMITH works well is all kind of battle rule sets in a bid to use it's Amplify the Thorns, Magic Reflect and Return Fire abilities. I of-course wont be too eager to use it in Back to Basic ruleset.
Placement
Since VENARI SPELLSMITH is low on health so it is usually placed into mid of the team to protect it from frontal, snipe, blast or sneak attacks.
Complementing Summoners and Abilities
VENARI SPELLSMITH can be complemented well by summoners like DELWYN DRAGONSCALE, MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE, LORNA SHINE, OBSIDIAN, and ALRIC STORMBRINGER summoners.
As far as abilities are concerned, VENARI SPELLSMITH can be decently complemented by other monsters with abilities. Abilities that work best are Protect, Strengthen, Triage and Repair.
Defense
VENARI SPELLSMITH can be killed by using Opportunity, Snipe, Blast and Scattershot attack. Other option are using Magic Reflect and Amplify ability along with it.
MY BATTLE USING VENARI SPELLSMITH

MY LINEUP
DELWYN DRAGONSCALE
Three splinters were allowed; Earth, Life and Dragon. I decided to go with heavy magic because I used Zaku twice in my last two battles and I wanted to surprise enemy with magic attack. So, I chose to go with DELWYN DRAGONSCALE summoner along with life splinter.
ROBO-DRAGON KNIGHT
Since it was a 99 mana battle so I went with heaviest tank I had i.e. ROBO-DRAGON KNIGHT. Costing 11 mana, this tank possesses every ability one can wish for in a tank. Heavy health plus shield along with heavy attack makes ROBO-DRAGON KNIGHT a fierce adversary.
GOLD DRAGON
On one down I placed one of the best legendary dragon monster; GOLD DRAGON. Heavy magic attack along with blast, flying and healing ability. Needless to say, GOLD DRAGON can handle herself pretty well in arena and also wreak havoc on enemies.
DRAGON JUMPER
Time to introduce a Opportunity monster in the ranks! So, I went with one of the best Opportunity monster at my disposal; DRAGON JUMPER. DRAGON JUMPER's heavy opportunity attack can certainly disrupt enemy.
VENARI CRYSTALSMITH
Next comes the healer in the team. I choose to go with VENARI CRYSTALSMITH. I wish I had the max one, but gonna make do with lev 5 for now.
VENARI SPELLSMITH
Time for the theme monster entry. The logic behind VENARI SPELLSMITH use was to complement my ROBO-DRAGON KNIGHT tank with its Amplify ability.
CHAOS DRAGON
On the very last, I placed another magic attack legendary monster, CHAOS DRAGON. Heavy magic along with blast and chaos makes CHAOS DRAGON a real adversary to tackle. As long as mana is not a constraint, it is always my go to monster.
BATTLE ANALYSIS
The battle was fierce. Enemy used heavy magic attack with a lot of resurrect abilities monsters 3 times to be exact. And if it wasn't for Amplify ability from VENARI CRYSTALSMITH complementing ROBO-DRAGON KNIGHT, I would have lost the battle. Enemy SILVERSHIELD ASSASSIN presented the real threat with its poisonous double attacks. But in the end, I emerged victorious as those enemy resurrections finally ended.
Enemy choice of summoner was good, but lack of anti-magic tank made things difficult for him, as continued hitting him using my heavy magic monsters without any magic reflect.
All monsters played their role pretty well, but VENARI SPELLSMITH truly played a critical role in the victory.
