Time for the BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge.

To spice up weakly battle challenge splinterlands came up with idea of BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge. BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge will allows players to showcase their strategic skills through their line up in battle field in variety of battle rulesets.

So theme for this week's BATTLE MAGE SECRETS challenge is Equalizer ruleset. Equalizer ruleset means all units start with the same health, based on the highest health monster on either team.

How to Play

Since in Equalizer ruleset grants all units same maximum health based on highest health monster in each team, so many monster who have extremely lethetic attack and speed but inherently very low health also become viable e.g. EXPLODING DWARF, EXPLODING RATS and CHAOS AGENT. Even low mana battles with Equalizer ruleset are fun since low mana monsters can be used in battle and have enough health to significantly impact battle outcome.

All other abilities work the same way as they would in normal battles.

Since player don't have to worry about health of monsters so they can always ops for low mana monsters and high mana legendary summoner e.g. YODIN ZAKU and low mana ranged monsters combo.

MY BATTLE WITH Earthquake RULESET

This was a 23 mana battle with three battle rules; Reverse Speed, Aimless and Equalizer. Only Fire, Life, Death and Dragon splinters were allowed.

YODIN ZAKU

Since Equalizer ruleset was in play and battle mana was low so I decided to you ZAKU and low mana ranged monsters combo. Scattershot ruleset was an added bonus especially with ZAKU blast attacks.

FURIOUS CHICKEN

Up front I placed zero mana monster FURIOUS CHICKEN to act as tank absorbing frontal assault allowing my ZAKU powered ranged and magic monsters to do their job. Also Reverse Speed ruleset means many conventional Equalizer ruleset monster like EXPLODING DWARF etc. were not viable.

ANT MINERS

On one down I another low mana option; ANT MINERS. ANT MINERS shield and scavenger ability makes them a really good low mana option especially for Equalizer ruleset.

BEETLE QUEEN

Next is place the healer for FURIOUS CHICKEN and ANT MINERS; BEETLE QUEEN. All three frontal monsters were just a build up for my coming ranged monster.

FIRE BEETLE

Next is placed FIRE BEETLE as my first ranged attack option. This thing does packs a real punch especially when powered by Equalizer and ZAKU.

VENARI MARKSRAT

On the second last position, I another ranged monster; VENARI MARKSRAT. VENARI MARKSRAT's was used deliberately to act as YODIN powered ranged monster and sneak defender with Martyr ability.

DOCTOR BLIGHT

On the last position, I used DOCTOR BLIGHT as a Camouflage option. I wanted this guy to stay there till last if the need comes. It possesses unique abilities making it one of the most lethal legendry monster out there.

BATTLE ANALYSIS

This was a tight battle as enemy went with full on sneak attack but ZAKU blast powered monsters did substantial damage and in the end DOCTOR BLIGHT survived to deliver the killing blows.
