Splinterlands: Medium Mana Combo...JACEK & IIDRI

An essential part of being a good splinterlands player is continuously keep devising new battle strategies and combos in order to surprise the enemy and throw him of balance. Whereas there are many awesome battle combos already devised and they usually work but as they grow old people start devising counter strategies and eventually the surprise factor gets missing.

JACEK & COEURL Combo

One of the most awesome combo lately have been using high speed combo with CONQUEROR JACEK as summoner and COEURL LURKER as a tank along with as supplementing monsters in the back providing Blind, Slow and Swiftness abilities.

This combo have been a great success with COEURL LURKER reaching speed as high as 9 and getting not even a single hit through out the battle. The best part is that this combo works even against magic attack formations curtesy of COEURL LURKER's Phase ability. This is indeed a combo requiring high mana battles like 40+.

But with time this CONQUEROR JACEK and COEURL LURKER et all combo is loosing its effectiveness especially with people countering it with KITTY, COEURL LURKER or adding strong Scattershot monster in team. Plus not to mention the high mana cost.

JACEK & IIDRI Combo

Ever since soul bound reward cards came into being, I had my eyes fixed on IIDRI FYRE as a potential alternative of COEURL LURKER. IIDRI FYRE have decent speed of 4 along with Taunt ability making it a potential candidate to serve as a evasive tank. At maxed level it have Return Fire and Phase ability making it equally good against magic attacks too. And since its mana cost is low so overall battle mana requirement for this combo decreases to 30-35 mana.

Since there is no way to acquire soulbound cards from market so I had to wait till now to get my IIDRI FYRE upgraded enough to try this combo.

Battle Link

This was a 35 mana battle. I decently complement IIDRI FYRE in the back with abilities like double Slow, triple Swiftness and Blind. Even though enemy also used Swiftness and Slow still my IIDRI reached a speed of 8 from the very start. It evaded enemy attacks till very last atleast until I inflicted significant significant damage.

There are several advantages that IIDRI FYRE offers as a replacement of COEURL LURKER. First is ofcourse the mana cost saving and second is its availability in Taking Sides and Lost Legendries rulesets and third is Return Fire ability. The only disadvantages is see are IIDRI being a no attack monster and it also lacks the Dodge ability.

JACEK & IIDRI Combo can be pretty handy in medium mana battles especially with enemy not anticipating it.

It is a card with very good characteristics, if you combine it in a battle with weapon training, you could endow it with attacks.
