Yet Another SPS Airdrop Goes Live

I am in a bit of different mood today, so I don't wanna do a review post today. Instead I wanna talk about monies...monies raining, monies flowing; god damn it, yet another SPS airdrop :)

A few days ago SPS governance proposal 8 & 9 got approved. plainly speaking; as a result of these proposals getting approved 6.25M SPS per month (decreasing at a rate of 1% / month for 65 months) and 1M SPS per month (decreasing at a rate of 1% / month for 65 months) will be distributed among lands and tower defense packs holders.

All the land plot holders will get 40 SPS tokens per month in the first month per plot of land held in their account, which will diminish at a rate of 1% for the next 65 months. Since all land plots have been sold long ago so exact amount of SPS airdrop share per pack is almost fixed. The only thing that might effect it slightly is the land deeds moving in/out of the game.

As far as tower defense SPS airdrop is concerned, the exact amount of SPS daily airdrop is still unknow and is gonna vary more and more by every passing day. Nightmare packs are still on sale, which means with more packs getting sold everyday SPS airdrop share per Nightmare pack is gonna reduce. But this might not be such a bad thing after all; because with Nightmare packs sale still on table, one can continue buying more and more packs to increase their share of airdrop.

Both SPS airdrops may end in future once respective lands expansion & tower defense gets launched and newer proposals will be floated to redirect SPS rewards based on different set of mechanics specific to the economics of respective versions. The new proposals may get approved or may be not; depending upon the community. But that's all in future, Lets just rejoice what we have at hand now.

For now all we know that land and Nightmare packs holders are getting rewarded decently for their buck and the airdrop may continue for a many months. A few hour ago SL had a maintenance break which added Land Rewards and Nightmare Rewards to the SPS claim tab.

Now I have two land plots claims in my account for which I got 𝟐.𝟗𝟐𝟕 𝐒𝐏𝐒. That is 𝟏.𝟒𝟔 𝐒𝐏𝐒 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐲, and is not gonna fluctuate that much. I am pretty excited about 𝟏𝟑𝟑 𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬 that I have in Neoxian Region. At this rate I am expecting about 𝟓𝟗𝟎𝟎 𝐒𝐏𝐒 airdropped for the very first month. That's more than $350 at current SPS market rate. Lolzzzz, I simply love it:)

Now lets discuss the Nightmare rewards. For holding just 𝟕 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 I received 𝟎.𝟖𝟐𝟔 𝐒𝐏𝐒; 𝟎.𝟏𝟏𝟔 𝐒𝐏𝐒 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐲. That is actually not a bad return for holding an $8 pack. Hell, Nightmare packs in secondary market is trading at around $3.5 per pack.

So for who are looking to get in on the renewed SPS airdrop, Nightmare packs are the best bet for now. But also keep in mind that Nightmare rewards will decline in future.
