Was Waka spiritblade worth the pain?

Heya splinterfella's

Yes, for me it wasn't worth the pain. What pain do you mean? well the pain of FOMO. Today when I came online I saw splinterlands official account has published a post. I always check on all splinterlands official updates so I got to know that The Waka Spiritblade Atomic Hub Sale will go live on Thursday 3/10/22 at 12:00 PM EST (17:00 UTC).

Those who don't know let me tell you that the first 500 Waka Spiritblade NFTs took just one minute to sell out. That was a huge achievement or probably a new record of selling anything so fast. It happened all because we all splinterlands players have one thing in common Fear of missing out . I was among those who were able to buy their Waka spirit blade during the first phase sale. But now since the second phase sale is going to start soon I wanted to share some of my experience regarding Waka Spiritblade.

For the record, I used Waka only one time on my delegated account ts-warrior and I lost that battle. My opponent also used a death splinter but another death summoner. After that battle, I never felt like using that summoner anymore.

Till now I have faced Waka spirit blade plenty of time and in all battles, I won without any difficulty. When waka was being introduced we all had these thoughts that this summoner is going to be an Op probably the second mylor means a game-changer. But unfortunately, that's is not the case. Maybe it is too early to judge this summoner but so far I didn't feel like using it in my battles. I actually prefer to use other summoners. Chaos death splinter summoner is awesome.
Right now if I want to make myself happy then I say it's good to have all cards. From the collection perspective, I love having all splinterlands cards.

In order to purchase Waka Flocka(In Neo sir voice :P ) you needed 5000 sps and 500 vouchers. At the time of purchase vouchers and sps cost was 2500$ so it means we all purchased this card for 2500$. If we look at its price it should have been op but right now for me, it's not. yes, Waka is savage in lower leagues. It is doing pretty well in the silver and bronze leagues. But so far I didn't see it is doing anything good in a higher league. If anyone of you who is reading my post has a good experience of Waka in a higher league do let me know. I really want to know :P XD see ya take care :)

Players still need time to understand the weaknesses and strenghts of the new summoner; I think we'll start to see more and more successful strategies with Waka in the near future!

hmm, you are right but for me, it would have been better if the poison action was 100% and not50%.

The Waka card is over-rated and I regret buying it for sure. I will admit that its a good card in the lower leagues but it's a very average card in diamond/champion. I think it needs another buff, maybe +1 speed, to justify the price. The Wax sale price is a lot cheaper than what I paid for it and another 500 supply of Wakas will make rental prices go down even further.

How much is waka in the secondary market? Could you sell it to recoup the cost or even make a gain?

I really thought about it. I started unstaking some SPS and planning some voucher buys to do it, but then I really thought about it and decided it wouldn't be worth it.

The one thing is, it's possible the card will be worth a lot more than its cost at some point in the near future. You could at least make some money if you hang onto it long enough.
