1087 Staked SPS (2025.06.24)

A few years ago, Steem Monsters/Splinterlands was one of my favorite games.

I played it a lot in the past.

Nowadays I do not play Splinterlands (sometimes I still check it from time to time, but nowadays I spend time rather with other, mostly offline things), and I invest in SPS mostly for its passive income aspect (nowadays it has around 11.61% APR interest rate), and because nowadays its price is below $0.01 USD (currently it is $0.0078 USD).

Today I bought 94.89 SPS for 3.61 SWAP.HIVE.

I staked 95 SPS.

Currently I have 1087.60 Staked SPS, which is currently worth around $8.48 USD.

Probably I will continue buying and staking SPS in smaller amounts in the next few weeks, and probably I will invest around $25 USD, or maybe around $50 USD in it.

I really would not like to risk higher amounts of money in Splintershards (SPS).

At least this is how I currently approach SPS.

I continue to focus mostly on the Hive Dollars (HBD) savings for long term (for years, for decades).

But of course if the price of the SPS will go up in the future, then maybe I will have a much higher amount of money in SPS.

In that case I will obviously earn much more on the price movement than on the interest.

We will see.

Either way, probably I will keep the staked SPS also for long term.

But this depends mostly on its interest rate.

And the same is true for Hive Dollars (HBD) savings too.

They are mostly two different types of passive income streams for me.

At least nowadays I invest in them mostly because of this aspect.
