At least one rare card, which is actually not even rare - Splinterlands season end rewards (2022.01.31)
The rewards are similar to the previous three seasons, but I am not even surprised anymore. I expected it.
Out of the 12 reward chests, only four chests contained cards.
One was a rare Venari Seedsmith card, the rest were common cards.
But the Venari Seedsmith is actually not rare. Currently there are 183 776 Venari Seedsmith cards in circulation. How/why the game call this rare? And its value is only $0.10 USD.
The strength of my card collection is basically still the same, and my max tier is still Silver III. And the value of my total Splinterlands card collection went further down. It is currently $371.90 USD. Nice fall, right? From more than $900 USD since the introduction of the Chaos Legion.
Either way, I am trying not to be too frustrated about this. I continue playing.

Chaos Legion introduced a lot of cards into the open market so it's not a surprise that card prices fell. It's millions of extra cards being added into the market and it means that people will start looking at these new cards as replacements.

If I would knew that this is going to happen, then I would have sold all of my cards around $900 USD. I could have bought them back at a much cheaper price.

I had similar reward chests too, a bunch of rare and common cards, despite spending a lot of effort to get to Gold 3 (22 chests). Was hoping for gold foils or perhaps an epic/legendary card but guess didn't have the luck. Hopefully the law of averages will tilt in our favour!

Just stick with the game till lands come out, you will be rewarded and sell off a bit on that hype train.

I regret not selling any SPS, when it was around $0.90 USD, so if there will be a hype train, then I will certainly sell.
Sps will most likely start rising again when the airdrop finishes in July.
