I am thinking about leasing out a part of my Splinterlands cards again (2022.05.11)

It is simply not worth it to play Splinterlands nowadays. Today I played two daily quests. The first "reward" was an Alchemy Potion Charge. Like almost every day. The second reward was five Credits, which is worth $0.005 USD. No reward card.

Nowadays there is absolutely no motivation and encouragement to play the game. Leasing out cards is at least giving a passive income in Dark Energy Crystals (DEC). Even if just a very little amount, it is still more than nothing or than five Credits, which is $0.005 USD. What a joke seriously.

I rather play various free-to-play games. They are much more enjoyable, even without any kind of income.

Just for the record:
I am playing Splinterlands since 2018.12.30, and I loved this game. There was a time (mostly in 2019), when my earnings from playing Splinterlands were more than the earnings from blogging.

I do not want to become a millionaire, nor making a living by playing Splinterlands, but proper rewards (like a little pocket money) (rewards worth at least a few dollars per month) would be good, if Splinterlands would like to keep (and/or even increase) its players. Or it is simply no longer a play-to-earn game, but a joke.

I read other Splinterlands posts, and some people complain about not receiving valuable reward cards. I complain about rarely receiving reward cards. Both are reasonable and understandable.

The developers have to do something, otherwise more and more people will stop playing Splinterlands.

If the season end rewards will be similarly bad, then I will take a break again (probably for a few weeks counted from the end of the current season) from playing Splinterlands, and I will lease out a part of my Splinterlands card collection.

I played 8042 battles so far, and I won 4142 battles, so my current win rate is 51.52%. I played 91 battles in this season so far, and I won 51 battles, so my current win rate in this season is 56.04%. My current rank is 136 655, so I am in the top 150 000 players.

By the way, currently I am barely above above the Bronze I League. If I finish in this league, then I will receive nine reward chests. I already imagine that the half of the reward chests will be filled with Alchemy and Legendary Potion charges. And that is when I will take a break again from playing Splinterlands.

I still have hope that Splinterlands will have a good reward system again. But if not, then I (and many other people) will stop playing Splinterlands over time. Actually many people already stopped playing Splinterlands.

It is hard to write this, because I really loved this game in the past. Hopefully the developers soon will make it great again.

Good luck and have fun.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

Yes playing daily with owned cards is not worth it anymore. The wierd thing is that renting yourself is also not worth it...

There is wierd stuff going on in the ecosystem.

The reward system just isn't that great right now and I hope the new changes to the system do fix this. Besides what I keep for my own rank, I rent out everything and I have been happy with the rental market so far.

The rental market is good. We can earn a more or less calculated income with it. I tried it a few months ago (somewhere around February).

It's just awful at the moment. My cards suddenly lost a load of CP overnight so I am also back down to bronze (after having a big push to always have enough CP for Silver so I didn't have to rent). https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@sbenbow/my-cards-have-just-lost-cp-wtf-should-i-quit-now

I'm thinking of taking a break from it all. Do something else. Maybe just sell all the cards I have and cash in and leave?!?

My current maximum tier is Silver III, but I very rarely reach it.
I keep my Splinterlands cards at least until the end of the SPS airdrop. If the game rewards will still be bad like nowadays, then I will also consider selling all of my Splinterlands cards. My total Splinterlands card collection is currently worth $163.51 USD. It was more than $200 USD a few months ago. I expect it to go further down in the upcoming months. But it will be still good to put it into Hive Dollars (HBD) savings. Nowadays probably that is the best Hive blockchain investment. At least this is my opinion.

it looks like complaining on luck. Man if you have no luck in cards, then you have luck with women.

(Edited)

And this is true. My first (and so far only) love was one-sided (unrequited).
