Splinterlands season end "reward" (2023.10.31)

I earned one season chest in the previous season in the Bronze III League.

Let us see what is in it. Maybe a card?

Of course not. And no any other valuable thing. Why would the game be encouraging? There was a tiny fraction of Splintershards (SPS) in the chest. Literally 0.019 Splintershards (SPS).

Seeing the time I put into the game, this is rather discouraging than rewarding.

Imagine playing (struggling) for this for more than one week. Because this is what I did. Or rather what Splinterlands did. This is really discouraging from playing. I played (struggled) for this for around 10-11 days.

I played 220 battles in the previous season. I won 82 battles. My win rate in the previous season is 37.27%. I almost reached the Bronze II League, when Splinterlands gave me much higher rated enemies, and I went on a losing streak.

Seeing the entire season and the season end "reward", currently there is no sense of rewarding, encouraging, and there is no sense of progress either.

This is why I stop playing Splinterlands again. Probably again for months. Currently even a free-to-play game is better. At least that has a sense of progress.

I still do not give up Splinterlands completely. I still have in-game assets. I just stop playing for months. And I still hope that Splinterlands will be actually enjoyable, encouraging and rewarding again somewhen in the future. I will try Splinterlands again from time to time.
