The new modern and wild ranked game modes are very bad jokes in Splinterlands (2022.07.16)

Today I removed my Splinterlands cards from the rental market (I stopped leasing them out), and I tried to play Splinterlands again, after I saw these new game modes. I wish I did not, because this is a huge disappointment.

I played Splinterlands for 96 minutes, and I earned only 21 Focus Points (FP) and 21 Season Points (SP). 300 FP/SP is needed for a single chest. I earned 1-5 Reward Points (RP) with each battle I won. I played 38 battles (I won 13 battles) in the Modern ranked game mode, and I played 33 battles (I won 12 battles) in the Wild ranked game mode. I reached Bronze III in both of the game modes.

But please. It would take many hours of playing just to earn a single reward chest. This is not worth it anymore. Worse than ever before.

I think that the developers killed this game. This is very painful to write down. Splinterlands was one of my favorite games in the previous four years. I started playing it on 2018.12.30. The golden age was in 2019 for this game. Nowadays this game is a pure disappointment. We need to play literally for hours just to earn one reward chest. This is not worth it at all.

I either put back most of my Splinterlands cards to the rental market, or I sell them. Sorry, but these newest changes in this game are very disappointing.

Maybe you like it. I do not.

Good luck and have fun, if you are still playing. All the best.

you barely will win points for bronce chest being in bronce III, you need to be at least on bronce I to achieve like 8 chest for 24 battles

Nowadays it is hard enough to reach Bronze III. Maybe I will try to reach Bronze I, but I already put more than one hour into the game today. This takes too much time. Splinterlands was much better in the past. It was one of my favorite games. Especially in 2019. It changed a lot in the previous few years.

you need silver to get in there and earn some decent amount of chests. It is harder. More easy to just rent cards and buy other cards with the DEC received.

Probably I will put back a part of my Splinterlands card collection to the rental market to lease them out to other Splinterlands players. Splinterlands became too much time consuming and too hard to enjoyably play it.

i know you have not much DEC, but if you rent all the cards, for 4000 DEC you get a pack of Chaos Legion, you may get lucky and get a legendary card now, there are 2 more of them, Rathe and Sinesh.

I've been playing Splinterlands since August 2021. So not quite a year. Yet even in that time I have seen drastic changes. My enjoyment as a human player (not a bot) has gone down. As have the possible rewards. There was a time I was a regular daily player. Not so much these days. Occasionally I'll have some fun matches. Most of the time it's a grind. So my game play is happening less and less. I miss the Splinterlands game play from last summer.

Looks like the Splinterlands developers are slowly killing the game. Very sad to see this. I played it approximately for four years. It was one of my favorite games in the past.

It's tough and I am losing a lot more in the current rewards system. At least from what I see, you need to increase your own rank to get more RP for your focus chests. It's harder to win fights now due to the split between the two leagues.

Yes. And in addition to other things, I think that this is why it is not worth it to play it anymore. I would rather put hours into something, which I enjoy, than putting (wasting) even one hour per day in Splinterlands.
