This game is a joke (2022.01.30)
I struggled (went on a huge losing streak) for almost one hour for this. 8 Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) and 1 Alchemy Potion Charge. No card. Not even a common card.
Yes. Nowadays the daily quest reward is shit, even in the Silver III League.
And this is why I am not motivated to complete the daily quests. Simply, because it is not worth it. Especially the many hours of struggle I went through in the previous seasons.
At least I am within the top 100 000 players this season. Currently the 74 958th. I played 69 battles in this season so far, and I won 42 battles so far, so my current win rate is 60.86%. This is somewhat surprising after today's losing streak. But the winning streak of 15 is indeed helped. But see? I played less than 100 battles in the current season. Simply, because Splinterlands is demotivating nowadays.
The current season will end in less than one day. I hope that there will be at least one valuable card in those 12 reward chests. I need something to remain motivated enough to continue playing Splinterlands.
There has to be something good in those chests, otherwise I slowly stop playing Splinterlands. I am playing Splinterlands since 2018.12.30, so I will not stop playing Splinterlands easily, but these so called "rewards" are so demotivating that they really shout "stop playing!" to me.

feeling sorry for you man. The loss of motivation is hard to cope with. But, maybe, i say maybe, you have been pampered too much in those years, expecially the last one.
Take a break for a couple of weeks, or all the time you need, then come back and you will appreciate again the game itself with less regards about the speed of accumulation.
I'm taking this kind of issue seriously, i believe that everyone will face it when the relative speed of growth decrease sensibly, and some willpower will be necessary to see that the actual speed of growth isn't decreased at all.
The game used to give good rewards in the previous years. Sometimes multiple cards per day. But I cannot even call "rewards" what the game gives nowadays. All these Alchemy Potion Charges, Legendary Potion Charges and a few Dark Energy Crystals (DEC).
This is like as if your loyal dog would sit down in front of you in the morning, and you would give tidbits (or not even that) to him/her instead of a proper dog food. This is a little morbid, but the dog would starve to death over time.
The same happens to the motivation of the players over time. Someone wrote in the recent past that these rewards are common nowadays, so I am certainly not alone.
Either way, I still play it. We will see the contents of those 12 reward chests soon. If it will not contain anything good, then I will indeed take a shorter or longer break from playing this game. I already took breaks in the current season (I have not played it for days).

If you puchase a daily quest potion you get an extra 5 loot chests when you complete the quest. Here is my daily quest reward today. I was only getting one potion before I smartened up and read the rules.
Even in gold III the situation is somewhat similar. I miss the times when quest rewards would bring me 5+ beta packs
The good news is that the developers are working on changes in the reward system.

The rewards tend to be quite random and there are weeks where I don't really get that much. At least it has been quite nice for me the past few days so I can't really complain. I plan on continue playing even if the rewards are low as that is what introduced me to HIVE.

I also keep playing Splinterlands, even if I take shorter or longer breaks. I am on the Steem/Hive blockchain since 2017.05.17, so I discovered Splinterlands (Steem Monsters) a little bit more than one year later. I am trying not to be too frustrated about the low rewards.

I believe that the Splinterlands developer team is making good changes. They are constantly improving the game since its release, so I have good reasons to believe both in the game and in the developer team. The game itself is fun and entertaining, so the title of my post is maybe not the best choice for this subject. Only the so called "rewards" is the problem, but if the developer team is making changes to it, then I am sure that they are making good changes.

My rewards are pretty much within expectations based on the official probabilities and I am fine with them. I just play leisurely whenever I have free time.
