When the whole battle depends on the luck of the last attack

avatar

Luck can be very important in Splinterlands. So important that it can literally determine whether you win or lose the battle. Yes, there are battles, where only (either your or your enemy's) luck determines the outcome of the battle.

The battle below is a good example of/for this. I won this battle only because the enemy Cave Slug monster missed its attack against my Elven Mystic monster.

does skipping to results affect anything or should I let it play out, I think I have won 1 out of about 25 games?

No, it does not affect anything, because the result of the battle is already known at the start of the battle, and every battle is recorded on the blockchain, so you can watch their replay anytime.

I think I have won 1 out of about 25 games?

Probably you have only a basic card set. Not easy to win with that. I played 6556 battles so far, and I have won 3350 battles from that, so approximately the half of it. I play Splinterlands since 2018.12.30.

yep I have just whatever they give you to start, I bought the wizards book and put 500 DEC in the wallet. I have to spend some time with it, I'm sure there are booster packs or something I can buy.

thanks for the info!

Dam man, youve been playing for a while. I wish i took the time to give it a try back then. I actually like playing. Do you plan on getting any new packs when the presale starts?

Maybe. Maybe I will just rent some. Like the Mylor Crowling card, which is a summoner with giving the Thorns ability to every friendly monster. I rented it for 1 day, but I wasted 300 Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) on it. Wasted, because I rented a level 8 card, and I currently do not have level 8 monsters. According to this guide, the rent price for this card is around 17-20 Dark Energy Crystals (DEC).

The Mylor Crowling card (on level 1) would currently cost around $53.79 USD. On level 8, it is around $2898 USD. I would say that the 300 Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) per day price is understandable at some level, but I think thst prices like nearly $3000 USD for a single virtual game card is crazy. Even if it is a strong, high level card in the game. You can buy literally a real house in some parts of the world for that money.

I still enjoy this game. I am just not going to buy much at these crazy prices.

I give you some !PIZZA.
