Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets Challenge - Lost Magic

Hello warriors of spl, this is my entry to the splinterlands weekly secret battle mage challenges. I will be sharing with you one of my battles. Stick around to see if I was able to beat my enemy or if I got brutally punished.

For this particular battle, I used my account @yahuzah which of course is my designated spl account.

Battle Rulesets

Ruleset Icon	Description
	Magic units may not be used in battle. Units with 2 types of attack (which include magic) cannot be used.

This ruleset means players cannot use magic cards. It’s advised players use Thorns to counter melee attacks. It’s also good to use headwinds and return fire to counter ranged attacks.

For this battle, I picked the Mylor Crowling summoner since I wanted to take advantage of the thorns ability. I anticipated my enemy would bring melee attack monsters.

1st Position

---

I picked Fungus Fiend to be in the first position and lead my team. Fungus Fiend is a zero mana card but with a health of 2, a speed a melee damage of 1. It helped me have more monsters considering the overall mana for the battle was quite low.

Round 1

---

Upon clicking rumble, my last monster, Ureaus attacked first. With a melee damage of 1, Ureaus reduced the health of my enemy’s last card, Fungus Flinger from 4 to 3. My enemy’s fifth and sixth monsters, Venari Markstrat and Fungus Flinger attacked my first monster, Fungus Fiend both with a ranger attack of 1 thereby killing my monster. Unicorn Mustang from my line up stepped into position 1 and was attacked by my enemy’s Mycelin Morphid. This reduced by health by 1 but a return thorns damage was done to my enemy which reduced the health of his first card to 0 and hence killed it. This ended the first round of the battle.

Round 2

My Unicorn Mustang attacked first this time and killed my enemy’s Chaos Agent who was now in the first position. Ureaus from my team the attacked Fungus Flinger from my enemy’s team and reduced the health to 2. Venari Markstrat attacked Unicorn Mustang and did damage of -1 health. Fungus Flinger then missed its attack on my first monster. Hill Giant then attacked my Unicorn Mustang reducing the health by 1 but had a return thorns damage done. This reduced the health of my enemy’s Hill Giant to 5 bringing the second round to an end.

Round 3

Unicorn Mustang attacked first in round 3 with a melee damage of 3 reducing the health of my enemy’s Hill Giant from 5 to 2. Ureaus then attacked my enemy’s Fungus Flinger leaving it with a health of 1. Venari Markstrat’s time to attack came and with a ranged attack of 1, reduced the health of my Unicorn Mustang to 5. This time, Fungus Flinger didn’t miss its attack and instead, did a damage of -1 health to my first monster. Hill Giant then attacked my first monster too and although reducing the health by 2, it died from the thorns damage. This brought round 3 to an end.

Round 4

Unicorn Mustang attacked my enemy’s new first monster, Mycelin Infantry reducing the shield from 3 to 1. Ureaus then attacked and killed Fungus Flinger from my enemy’s line up. Venari Markstrat then gained +1 on stats, attacked and killed my Unicorn Mustang. My enemy’s Mycelin Infantry attacked my own Mycelin Infantry reducing its shield to 1. Thorns damage was done back to my enemy’s monster removing the 1 shield left. I then attacked my enemy with my Mycelin Infantry and reduced its health by 2 from 8 to 6. This concluded round 4.

Round 5

Venari Markstrat attacked my Mycelin Infantry and removed the shield. My Ureaus attacked my enemy’s Venari Markstrat and reduced the health from 3 to 2. My enemy’s Mycelin Infantry attacked mine reducing its health to 5 but got a return damage of -1 health. My Mycelin Infantry then attacked my enemy’s Mycelin Infantry and further reduced the health to 3. This concluded round 5.

Round 6

Venari Markstrat attacked first and reduced the health of my Mycelin Infantry to 4. Ureaus attacked my enemy’s Venari Markstrat reducing its health to 1. My enemy’s Mycelin Infantry then attacked mine and did a damage of -2 health. A reversed damage of -1 health was done to my enemy and I attacked his Mycelin Infantry with my Mycelin Infantry and killed it.

Round 7

My Ureaus attacked my enemy’s Venari Markstrat and killed it concluding the battle.

After 7 rounds of battle, I was finally able to kill my enemy with 2 of my monsters standing.
