Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets Challenge - Up Close and Personal

Hello everyone, this is my entry to the splinterlands battle mage secrets challenge this week. I will be sharing one of my battles. For this battle, I used my account @yahuzah which is my spl account.

For this battle, no shield was used and so I opted for the Mylor Crowling summoner to be able to use the thorns effect.

1st Position

For my first position in my lineup, I decided to go with the Terraceous Grunt monster because it attacks from the first position. It also has a 50% chance of evading melee and ranged monsters.

Round 1

---

Summoner buffs and debuffs took effect and the battle started.

My enemy attacked first with his 5th monster, Serpentine Spy and killed my last monster , Fungus Fiend. -2 shield damage was done back to my enemy.

With my new last monster, War Chaang I rendered a damage of -1 shield to my enemy’s first monster Scorch Fiend. My enemy attacked with his last monster, Tenyii Striker reducing the health of my last monster to 5. A thorns damage of -2 shield was done to my enemy in return.

My enemy attacked my first monster with their first monster and missed. He then attacked my last monster with his 4th monster and reduced the health of my monster to 2. A return damage of -2 shield was done to my enemy. My monster retaliated and removed the shield on my enemy’s 4th monster.

My second monster, Orc Sergeant attacked my enemy’s first and removed the shield. My third monster, Venari Scout attacked my enemy’s first and reduced the health to 1. My first monster then killed my enemy’s first monster ending the first round.

Round 2

My enemy’s new fourth monster, Serpentine Spy attacked and killed my new last monster, War Chaang. However, a return damage of -2 thorns was done to my enemy resulting in a health reduction to 1.

My enemy attacked my last monster with his last monster and killed it. -2 health damage was done in return. My enemy’s 3rd monster attacked my second reducing its health to 3 while my monster delivered a thorns damage of -2 health. My enemy’s new first monster, Radiated Scorcher attacked and missed.

My second monster attacked my enemy’s first reducing the shield to 1 and my first monster, Terraceous Grunt attacked my enemy’s first and got rid of the remaining shield ending the second round.

Round 3

My enemy’s fourth monster, Serpentine Spy attacked my last monster, Orc Sergeant and killed it. However, the thorns effect killed my enemy’s fourth monster.

My enemy’s last monster, Tenyii Striker attacked my first monster reducing its health to 7 but also got its health reduced to 3. My enemy attacked again with his 3rd reducing my health to 4 and killing his 3rd monster in return.

This time, my enemy’s first monster’s attack was successful and he rendered a damage of -2 health to my remaining monster taking its health to 2. A return thorns damage of -2 health was done to my enemy. I then delivered the final blow to kill my enemy’s first monster with my remaining monster ending the round.

Looking at things, I knew I was done.

My enemy’s last monster attacked my remaining monster and killed it ending the battle in defeat for me.

The battle was fought and lost in 4 rounds.
