Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge - Even Mana Costs Monsters Only

Hello everyone, this is my entry to the splinterlands battle mage challenge for this week. I will be describing one of my battles with the given ruleset. I used my account @yahuzah which is my spl account for all battles.

Battle Ruleset

Ruleset Icon	Description
	Wands Out : Only monsters with magic attacks may be used in battles
	Even Stevens : Only monsters with even mana costs may be used in battles

These two rulesets meant that I could use only monsters who had the magic attacks and monsters whose mana costs were even.

For this battle, I chose the Delwyn Dragonstone summoner to allow me give my monsters an additional magic attack.

Battle Tactics

In first position, I selected Djinn Oshanus mainly because of its void ability. Also, it had a magic attack of 2 which meant even if my enemy brought a monster with void, I would still do damage.

I selected Riverboat Captain in second position. I chose this in second position mainly for its blast ability. It also had a magic of 2 meaning it could do damage to void ability monsters and would also do half of its damage to my enemy's second monsters.

Battle Details

Seeing that my enemy and I brought the same monsters and put them in the same positions, the summoner choices proved to be the difference.

Summoner buffs took effect and the battle began. In the first round, my enemy and my first monster, Djinn Oshanus exchanged attacks but because I had a magic of 3, I did a damage of -2 health and my enemy did a -1 health damage.

Again, my enemy and my second monster, Riverboat Captain attacked the first monsters respectively. My enemy had more speed so he attacked doing a damage of -1 health to my Djinn Oshanus and did -1 health to my second monster. My Riverboat with an attack of 3 did a -2 health damage to my enemy's Djinn Oshanus and a blast health damage of -2 health damage to his second monster.

At the start of round 2, my first monster, Djinn Oshanus did a health damage of -2 health to my enemy's Djinn and my enemy's first monster did a health damage of -1.

The next wave of attacks took place and my enemy's Riverboat Captain did -1 health damages to my first and second monsters. My Riverboat Captain did -2 health damage to my enemy's first and second monsters.

At the start of round 3, my enemy's Djinn Oshanus did a -1 health damage to my Djinn Oshanus and I did a -2 health damage.

My enemy's second monster did -1 health damage each to my monsters and my second monster Riverboat Captain killed both of my enemy's monsters.
