Hello everyone, this is my entry to the splinterlands social media challenge for this week. I will be sharing and describing one of my battles. For this battle, I used my account @yahuzah which is my spl account for all battles.

Battle Rulesets

Ruleset IconDescription

My enemy's Lineup

Summoner chosen

For this battle, I chose the Kelya Frendul summoner. This summoner gave all my monsters +1 shield and +1 speed. I chose this because looking at my enemy's battle history, he preferred to use melee and ranged attack monsters.

Battle Tactics

The aimless ruleset implied that monsters could attack from any position. This gave me the chance to select some of my favorite melee monsters.

Checking battle history proved vital because my enemy brought only melee and ranged attack monsters.

I myself decided to go for a mix of melee and magic attack monsters. I went for Sea Monster in first position because it had a healing ability. It could restore a portion of its health and so I thought it would prove useful. It also has a melee attack of 4 and a speed of 2.

I selected Arkermis the Bear for second position because this has a melee attack of 3 and a health of 10. It also gave all my monsters +2 shield.

For the third position on my team, I chose Djinn Oshanus who has a magic attack of 2, a speed of 5 and a health of 10. I also chose this because it has the void ability and in case my enemy came with a magic attack monster, I wanted to be prepared.

In the fourth position, I selected a healer. Merdaali Guardian has the ability to restore a portion of the health of my enemy's first monster. In addition to the restore ability my first monster already had, this seemed good.

I usually like to use Nerissa Tridawn whenever I select the water element so selected this to be in my fourth position. With a magic attack of 3, health of 9 and a speed of 2, this was going to help.

I still had space for one more monster so I selected Sabre Shark with a melee attack of 2. It has the ability to attack the last monster on my enemy's team.

Battle Details

Summoner and units buffs took effect and the battle began.

image.png

Attacks were rendered to both teams and it looked like the battle would be a long one. I attacked first with my third monster, Djinn Oshanus reducing the health of my enemy's second monster to 6. Because of the scattershot rulesets, both my monsters and my enemy's monsters attacked randomly.

At the end of round 1, no monster was killed on either team and none of the units received significant damages.

image.png

As the start of round 2, my third monster, Djinn Oshanus attacked my enemy's fourth monster this time. My enemy attacked with Coastal Sentry and killed my first monster. With my fifth monster, I also killed my enemy's second monster, Coastal Sentry.

image.png

At the start of round 3, Djinn Oshanus attacked first reducing the health of my enemy's new third monster to 2. With my fifth monster, I killed my enemy's new third monster. That removed the additional 2 shield it gave to my enemy's monsters. At the end of round 3, no other monster was killed.

image.png

As the battle continued in round 4, my healer was killed.

image.png

In round 5, I killed my enemy's last monster. My enemy killed my new first monster as well who in the beginning was my first monster.

image.png

In round 6, no additional monster was killed.

image.png

In round 7, I killed 2 more of my enemy's monsters.

image.png

In round 8, I killed my enemy's remaining monster.

These double ruleset battles are wild! I’m struggling already as it is to play just one ruleset. Gadam!😂

Anyways, great strategy and congrats, man.
