Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Ending The Season On A High

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog as I make my entry to this week's social media challenge. Last week I spoke about the updates that have been added to splinterlands but this week I want to talk about my progress in this season that is about to end.

Currently, I play the wild rank far more than I play the modern rank and season after season, I try my best to finish higher than I did in the previous season. As you climb higher in the leagues, the battles get tougher requiring you to change tactics, use higher level cards because the players you face are a lot more competitive. With the new changes, you are paired with players who have similar ratings as you meaning you don't face any small players.

I haven't played a lot of battles this season but I have still managed to reach my highest rank since I started playing splinterlands. Though, it's the wild rank and not modern which is more competitive, I think it's still a good achievement wouldn't you agree?

Currently, at the time of writing, I am in the diamond 1 league in the modern rank. Where I finished last season contributed to me getting here despite playing fewer battles. Outright, I have to see the battles in diamond 1 are no joke at all. I could literally choose my favorite cards for my favorite rulesets and get cooked very easily. It reminds me of a battle I fought yesterday where the rebirth, opportunity and poison rulesets were in play. I ended up playing right into the hands of my enemy. He must have laughed out loud and replayed the battle over and over again cos it was hilariously epic.

At the time of writing, I had played a total of 110 battles, won 67 an managed a max win streak of 6. My rating at the time was 3420. I thought these rating were okay till I saw my rank on the leaderboard. I was ranked at 4508th position with the first having played over 750 battles and having a max win streak of 10.

Having won these 67 battles, I have earned a total of 5059 Glint tokens at the time of writing. I haven't used any of these glint tokens to buy rewards from the reward shop just yet because I want to amass everything and see what I can get with the total.

I have explored the shop to see what's in there so I have an idea of what to get but you will agree that the more you have, the more rewards you can get. I do miss the thrill opening the daily and season chests give but I am optimistic the reward shop will deliver something worth liking.
