Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - My Journey So Far

Hello everyone, as part of my entry to this week’s social media challenge, I want to share my splinterlands journey with you all. The account I use to play splinterlands is my hive account, yahuzah. I have been playing the game for about a year now. I started playing last year January and I’m still very much playing.

Beginning was hard because it takes time to understand the rulesets and the different cards but fortunately, my brother, abu78 and the guild I am in supported me and helped me get the hang of the game. I am far from an expert now but I like how far I have come and still learning.

I have played more than 3000 battles in total but recently, my focus is on playing more wild battles because battling in the modern league is way difficult now. I have played a total of 2809 modern battles and have won 1233 battles. My longest winning streak is 9 in the modern league and my highest rank is 346 but my current rank is bronze in 981 while my current rating is 539. My highest modern league rating is 1318.

In the wild league, I have played a total of 641 battles and my current rating is 1328. My highest rating is 2143 and I’m in the silver league currently with a rank of 4615. My highest rank in wild is 3170, my total wins is 315 and my longest winning streak is 8.

Since you earn higher focus points and rewards based on how much staked $SPS you have in game, my focus has been on getting more $SPS to stake. When I started, I didn’t give much attention to that but I know better now and I currently have a staked SPS of 2105.217 and also have a huge SPS delegation of 7000.

I am thinking of a way to stake SPS every week so that in addition to my battle rewards, I can get more sps and more rewards. I thought of using a percentage of my blog earnings a while back but I haven’t found the best way to execute that yet. Aside getting more rewards, $SPS as a token is looking very bullish and with the huge support it has from the spl and hive community, it is a good token to have.

I am gradually growing the number of cards I have as well. From 0 at the time, I started playing, I now have more than 100 cards with a power of 28,590. Purchasing more chaos packs and rebellion packs is a way to get more cards but also earning more daily and season chests will also help to get more cards.

I think I am more conversant with more than one element now. In the beginning, I liked only earth monsters and Obsidian because with the magic cards you don’t really care about positioning your cards. But now, I am much better with the water cards. I still need to work on fire, life and death. I use them but I when I have the chance to choose, I much prefer the water and earth cards. So, I guess my use of the other elements needs work.

I have come a long way in splinterlands and I hope I can do so much more. With the current season I haven’t played a lot of battles because I have been busy offline but I have time over the next few days to end the season strong and prepare well for the next season.
