Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - My Splinterlands Journey

It's all about reminiscing on some of our favorite splinterlands moments this week. The social media challenge has seen us write about the rebellion packs that is still on pre sale. This week's spl social media is different from the what I usually present so stick with me if you want to know how I started playing spl and some other things.

When I signed for hive as a a fairly new user to the world of web3, I was focussed on only blogging because that was what I knew and I didn't have mentorship on other aspects of the blockchain. I saw a lot of users focus on videos, some on games, some on curation and a lot of others focus on playing games.

One of the games I realized that a lot of people played was splinterlands. I am naturally not realy so much into gaming but when I find a game I like, I play a lot. You might be wondering how I got into splinterlands right? Admitedly, I might have just stumbled into it and though true, I didn't play at all till my friend @abu78 encouraged me to get into the game. Abu had been playing for a while and so I asked a few questions and he had only marvellous things to say. He also did a fine job guiding me and giving me some helpful tips.

It's pretty suprising to see that I am almost a year old in the splinterlands universe. I thought I was like 6 months or a bit more but upon checking my profile, I've been playing splinterlands since January 2023. That honestly, is very suprising yet very fulfilling for me.

Splinterlands is the web3 game I have grown to really adore. I don't have a fixed time I play the game becuase I sometimes sit down and I am just randomly thinking of the best cards to help me in battles. Sometimes, I can sit for up to 4 hours just playing till my energy is reduced to 0 while other times, I play a few battles and do something else. When I am losing, I play just a few games and log in later hoping for better luck.

I have played over 2300 battles in splinterlands during. I have played a total of 2306 battles in the modern league and have a current rating of 1049 at the time of writing. My highest rating for the modern league stands at 1318and my highest rank is 626. In the modern league my wins is 1000 and my longest streak is 9.

In the wild league, I have a current rating of 100 and a highest rating of 348. I have played 76 battles and have won 33. My longest streak is 5 in the wild league.

I am still far off where I want to be in splinterlands. I have a power of 25215. I aim to purchase some cards next year or ending of this year and hopefully get more from chaos pascks, daily and season chests. Currenlty, the rebellion booster packs is what everyone is talking about and I own 7. I aim to buy 3 more before the pre sale ends. For a long term goal, I hope to have about 10K staked sps by this time next year.

Splinterlands is a very interesting game tha has a lot to offer and that is why I always encourage my freinds to get involved.
