Splinterlands Social Media - Taunting My Way To Victory

Hello everyone, this is my entry to the splinterlands social media challenge for this week. I will be describing one of my battles. I used my account @yahuzah which is my spl account for all battles.

Battle Ruleset

Ruleset Icon	Description
	Opportunity : All monsters have the opportunity ability
	Even Stevens : Only monsters with even mana costs may be used in battles

These two rulesets signifies that I could use only monsters with even mana in 1. the battle and all monsters had the opportunity ability meaning they attacked monsters with low health first.

For this battle, I chose the Lorna Shine summoner to grant all my monsters the divine shield abilities.

Battle Tactics

In first position, I selected Kralus. With a speed of 3, health of 12, melee attack of 2, magic attack of 1 and a shield of 5, this seemed like a good selection for position 1. I also selected it because of its flying ability.

I selected Harbringer of Chaos in second position. Originally, it has a divine shield and a magic attack of 3.

In third position I selected Shieldbearer which has the taunt ability. I anticipated that while my enemy did attacks to Shieldbearer, my other monsters would render attacks.

In the fourth position, I selected Chaos Knight. With the shield ability, it means ranged and melee attacks were reduced by 50%.

Battle Details

Summoner and unit buffs took effect and the battle began. My enemy's fourth and fifth monsters attacked my third monster first reducing the shield to 2. My first monster killed my enemy's first monster and melee attacked my enemy's second monster reducing its shield to 2.

My enemy's new first monster, Drybone Raider melee attacked my first monster twice reducing the shield to 3. My second monster killed my enemy's new second monster, Dumacke Orc. My last monster removed my enemy's shield to end round 1.

My enemy's second and third monsters reduced my enemy's Shieldbearer's health to 5. I attacked my enemy's first monster reducing the health to 6 while my enemy's first monster attacked me twice reducing my shield to 1. My second monster reduced my enemy's second monster's health to 2 and my last monster missed its attack.

My second and third monsters reduced my third monster's health to 1 and also healed its first monster's health to 7. My first monster's attacks reduced my enemy's first monster's health to 4. My enemy's first monster's attacked removed my shield and my second monster killed my enemy's second monster.

Attacks from my third and fourth monsters killed my enemy's first monster ending round 3.

In round 4, I doubled attacked my enemy's new first monster, Venari Crystalsmith and it healed back to 5. But attacks from my second and third monsters killed my enemy's Venari Crystalsmith.

In round 5, my monsters attacked my enemy and killed his remaining monster to win me the battle.
