Description of Mordeus.png

  • Mordeus may not look like much at first glance but don't be fooled. This card comes packed with some serious power. At level one, it has 5 melee attack power, 2 speeds, and 4 health - which is pretty good for a card of its kind. But what really sets Mordeus apart is its unique ability. It has the Opportunity ability, which means it targets the lowest health monster of the opposition's team. This makes it an excellent choice for taking out those pesky support units that are keeping the enemy team alive.

Stats of the Card.

If you're looking to upgrade Mordeus, then here are the stats you can expect at each level:

Level 1: 5 melee attack power, 2 speeds, 4 health.
Level 2: 6 melee attack power, 2 speeds, 4 health.
Level 3: 6 melee attack power, 2 speeds, 4 health, and a new ability Stun.
Level 4: 6 melee attack power, 2 speeds, 4 health, and a new ability Piercing.

Mordeus evolves into a fierce-looking devil monarch as it levels up, which only adds to its overall appeal.

How to Obtain Mordeus.

If you're interested in adding Mordeus to your card collection, you can purchase it directly from the Splinterlands market, or you can also try your luck by opening card packs.

On the battlefield, Mordeus found himself engulfed in flames. I had summoned the formidable fire monsters commanded by the legendary fire summoner, PLADO EMBERSTORM. PLADO possessed the extraordinary ability to enhance the melee attack power of all friendly monsters by an additional +1. Moreover, PLADO bestowed upon them an increased speed of +1. With these newfound upgrades, Mordeus transformed into a formidable fighter. Mordeus swiftly unleashed his might upon the enemy forces, claiming the lives of three opponent monsters. In the first round, he strategically eliminated SERPENTINE SPY, the opponent's weakest and most fragile creature. Notably, this monster possessed the cunning ability to seize opportunities on the battlefield. However, Mordeus proved to be a match for the serpent-like spy, taking it down in a single, powerful blow.

Undeterred by his previous victory, Mordeus set his sights on the next target. In the second round, he swiftly dispatched the KOBOLD MINER, a creature renowned for its sneaky and stealthy nature. Once again, Mordeus's devastating attacks proved to be too much for his opponent, delivering an instant, lethal strike. Mordeus's immense melee attack power, which had been boosted to an impressive six, proved overwhelming for these opponents with a mere two or three health points. With each battle, Mordeus made the encounter increasingly effortless, providing me with a clear advantage and ensuring victory was within reach.

UPgrading.gif

Now, you might be curious about the process of upgrading this particular card and the advantages that come with it. Let's delve into the details. When you choose to upgrade this formidable card to level 2, a significant enhancement will be made to its attack power. The attack power will receive a boost and rise to a formidable value of 6. However, there won't be any alterations to the card's other statistics.

Upon reaching level 3, an exciting new ability called Stun will be unlocked for this card. This ability adds an additional layer of strategy to the game. When a Monster equipped with the Stun ability successfully strikes a target, it has the potential to stun the opposing creature. This stun effect causes the affected monster to skip its next turn entirely. Imagine the scenario where Mordeus, your monster, successfully strikes the target from the opposing team. Not only does it inflict damage upon the targeted monster, but it also renders that creature unable to retaliate or take any action during the subsequent turn.

Advancing further to level 4 brings yet another new ability to this card's arsenal: Piercing. This ability introduces a unique mechanic to the game. When executing a Melee or Ranged attack, if the damage inflicted exceeds the target's Armor value, the excess damage bypasses the armor and directly affects the target's Health. In other words, if Mordeus launches an attack and the damage dealt surpasses the defenses provided by the target's Armor, the remaining damage will directly subtract from the target's Health, ignoring the protective effects of the Armor.

With each upgrade, this card becomes increasingly formidable, offering new strategic possibilities and advantages on the battlefield.

How much it costs to upgrade Mordeus
