BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! Earthquake
(Edited)
Hello, great warriors of Splinterlands, I hope you all are doing good and enjoying your day. Today I am again here sharing my new entry for the BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge "RULESET: Earthquake
" which is offered by @splinterlands. You can also participate in this weekly challenge, to know more about how to participate in this challenge visit this link.
About: Earthquake:
Earthquake
is a ruleset in Splinterlands battles in which all non-flying monsters take 2 physical damage at the end of every turn.- Snared units are considered non-flying. Since the damage given is physical, it can be reduced to 1 if the unit has the shield ability.

Battle Ruleset:
There were two battle rulesets Earthquake and Holy Protection in this battle. The allowed mana cap was
58
and only Earth Splinter was not active in this battle.Battle Summoner
For this battle, I chose the Draogn splinter, and in the Dragon Splinter summoners, I selected
QUIX THE DEVIOUS
as a Summoner for this battle, which is a Chaos Legion edition Legendary Dragon Splinter Summoner. It costs 4
mana and has two abilities(-1 range and -1 speed) of the enemy team. I used this summoner because of its abilities and its versatility. I chose this summoner because I have upgraded it and also I can use the Dragon splinter cards under this summoner. It's a Dragon Splinter summoner so under this summoner I chose the Water Splinter monsters because I have plenty of monsters in the Water Splinter that have the Flying ability which will not take damage from the Earthquake ruleset.
1. DJINN CHWALA:
In the first position, I used the
DJINN CHWALA
which is a reward edition an Epic melee attack monster from the Dragon Splinter. It costs 8
mana and has a Thorn
ability at level 1. I used it in the first position because of its Thorn
ability. When the enemy team melee attacks monsters attack on this monster it will give back damage to them. I have got it at level 2 in the gold foiled version and most of the time I am using it in the first position whenever I am playing with the Dragon splinter and it works very well for me.
2. DJINN OSHANNUS:
In the second position, I used
DJINN OSHANNUS
, which is also a reward edition Legendary magic attack monster from the water Splinter. It costs 8 mana, does a -2 magic attack, and has Void
ability at level 1. I have upgraded it to level 2 in which it gains one more ability Phase
. I used it in the second position and in this battle because of its high health and Speed. Also, it will give -2 magic damage to the enemy team monsters. I have upgraded it to level 2 and most of the time I am using it in my battles when I am playing with the water splinter.
3. DRAGON JUMPER:
In the third position, I used
DRAGON JUMPER
which is an untamed edition legendary melee attack monster from the Dragon Splinter. It costs 7 mana, gives -3 melee damage, and has Flying and opportunity abilities at level 1. I still have this monster at level 1. I used it in this battle and in the third position because of the battle ruleset and it has the Flying ability. It worked great for me in this battle.
4. CHAOS DRAGON:
In the fourth position, I used
CHAOS DRAGON
which is a Chaos-Legion edition legendary magic attack monster from the Dragon Splinter. I bought this monster at level 2 in the Gold foiled version from the market worth 40$. It costs 14 mana, gives -3 magic damage, and has Flying, Scatter Shot, and Blast abilities at level 2. I used it in this battle and in the fourth position because of its Flying and Blast abilities. Also, it does a -3 magic attack so it will give a total of -7 damage in one round.
5. PHANTOM OF THE ABYSS:
In the fifth position, I used
PHANTOM OF THE ABYSS
, which is an Untamed edition Legendary magic attack monster from the water Splinter. It costs 10 mana, does a -3 magic attack, and has two abilities Dodge and Flying
at level 1. I still have this monster at level 1 because it works well for me at level 1. I used it in the fifth position and in this battle because of the Earthquake ruleset and also it does a high magic attack along with its high speed.
6. PELACOR BANDIT:
In the last position, I used the PELACOR BANDIT which is a reward edition common melee attack monster from the Water Splinter. It costs
3
mana, does a -1 melee attack, and has Sneak and Flying abilities ability at level 1. I have upgraded it to level 4 in which its melee attack increases from 1 to 2. I used it in this battle and in the last position because of its Flying ability.
Battle Result:
You can see the result of my battle in the below screenshot. I won this battle and was rewarded with 0.445 staked SPS.
Did your strategy work?
Yes, I mostly used the Flying abilities monsters and my all strategies worked very well for me in this battle.
