Greetings my dear Hive community!!!

Good afternoon/evening, dear Hive community,

It's a pleasure to greet you again and share with you my latest illustration created for this week's Splinterlands art contest. Since last night I have been working hard to finish my participation, despite the electricity problems and my busy schedule creating artwork for the contest, as I mentioned in previous posts, and also working on my new #NFT collection. All this has made my time limited, and going up to 12 hours without electricity several days a week has only slowed down my work even more. 🤯🤬💆🏻😮‍💨

Speaking of electricity, I currently have my PC unprotected because the UPS has stopped working properly due to so many power outages. I would like to buy another UPS, but right now they are very expensive and I don't have the money to do so. 🫲🏻🙄🫱🏻

But well, I'm not going to let that stop me. Back to my illustration this week, I decided to go with the -=Spirit of the Forest=- card, as I thought it was an interesting choice. Although I had done it before, this time I wanted to give it a more sensual touch and show her sex appeal. 😏😏😚

To do this, I searched through my sketchbook and found an old one that worked perfectly for me. I have a lot of old sketches that I've done over the years and that, in times of hurry, have helped me save some time. 💡⏳👌🏻

Spirit of the Forest

From the safety of the Eldest Tree, deep in the shrouded magic of the Hungry Wood, the Spirit of the Forest lives and grows. She is one of the original creators of life in the Splinterlands, and little happens without her knowing about it. She can be summoned to battle by a skilled summoner, but she loves all her children as a good mother should.

Dear Hivers, after saving time with the sketch what I did was to start adapting it to the characteristics of the Spirit of the Forest card and to capture the idea I had in mind, as I mentioned before, which was to add a sensual touch.

When I am short of time, I resort to the technique of using grayscale values to speed up the process as you can see above. Once I managed to define the volume with lights and shadows I started working on the next step.

Getting to this point after the above was relatively easy for me, I just used the tools that Photoshop provides me to start applying the color and at this point I also added the forest background that I wanted to contextualize the image.

At this stage, I focused on improving the lights and shadows, as well as adding a gem on her head and making some slight changes to her face.

Later, I did more rendering and started working on her outfit, which I wanted to be transparent to show her physical attributes and at the same time show her sensuality. I also made some touches on her hand and final details.

To finish, I added some touches of nature on her head and breasts, and I perfected her face and hair.

I only made some adjustments to the shoulder and raised arm that I wasn't quite convinced about. Finally, I added lights and glows to highlight the small details, and added the power in her hand with moving particles.

I thought it was a new card at first look haha. You really made it look more aesthetic in your style. Love that extra hand glow. It compliments the green really well!

If you don't have ups the what happens to the progress you are working on? Can photoshop restore it? You add a lot of detail in there so that seems a bit risky.

I have mixed feelings with green skin🥴🥴, but I think it worked, ohh yes! The red was an expansion lol, she already had it in her eyes 🤭 👀.
Yesss I like that combination.

Yes I have UPS but the cuts and lows of electricity, The UPS is being damaged more and more constantly, which means that my PC is unprotected, it is as if it did not exist, it directly turns off.

😅 I have lost several🌊🌊, Ps recovers (it doesn't stay at the moment where it was going, if not further back, oh depending on whether I have saved every second or the Auto Save Configuration that I have at the minimum that the program leaves so as not to waste so much time) but if I am saving and at that moment it turns off it happens 🌊🌊🌊🌊 with my tears 😱😱🤯
When all is lost, until now I don't know, but I think it can't be fixed . I have seen how many layers turn into a single color or like rainbow 🥺, black or red is terrible and the same goes for videos.

I discovered something a couple of weeks ago, Ps recovered 2 times a format (It was a little behind but it was not damaged, important) that I was working on😱😏😏
So from that moment on I completely avoided saving at the moment the power went out, so it was recovered as normal, I could continue drawing, now the UPS does not last at all and gives me less chance to save, it continues to recover the formats, although the light failures affect the PC directly and I don't like that at all 🥺😱

I really appreciate you explaining it even though it took you a while to type it haha. It seems like you are not an English speaker.

Its sad to hear that you lost many of your works because of this. I recommend buying a voltage stabilizer with a new UPS if you ever plan on buying a new one. It kinda helps with the unstable electricity and from your comment above it looks like you really need it :) Perhaps Hive money can help with that.

Exposing pc to such unstable electricity may cause damage to the power ic inside the mother board. That's kinda expensive to fix sadly.

I'm curious, is a UPS really expensive in your country? I can get a decent one for around 30$ here and voltage stabilizer costs around 15$.

Oh Damn, I see, i see, yea , I realized it's long 😳 sorry 🥴 it's a complex subject and I felt inspired lol we could spend many hours with all this madness 🤣🤣🤣

lol actually yes many time, the electricity has failed a lot today (like a christmas tree 🥺) if there is no electricity, no internet either 😸😸 sooo the message is paused for hours 🤣.

Yes, exactly, it really scares me, today it has suffered a lot I sit down to draw and the electricity goes out ( like 4 or 5 times), I've spent the day on a sketch 😳😱🤯🤯🤯 it's urgent I still can't, I hope in the future I can buy it😏. That is practically the one I have the same brand and capacity, I think it cost me 80 last year, I don't remember 🤣 There are some cheap ones and another more than 300 , 400., ....

Sorry for the late comment. I was a bit busy with real life stuff.

I didn't mean that replying in long comment is bad haha. I was just appreciating your effort for replying that way hehe.

As for the ups capacity for a 35$ price. See the image.

I didnt see the brand you posted above in my e commerce app. Electronics are getting a bit more cheaper here but I can't guarantee the quality of the product since I never used it before.

Hhmmm Don't worry, I completely understand, it happens to me sometimes or sometimes I lose it, like in this case 😳. Lol I get the point 😁😝, hmmm the brand says it on the front of the device 😂, wowowwowowoow that's not happening here , too bad, things are going to heaven.

I was looking for information a few days ago and it seems to me that even the one I bought is too little for what my PC has to endure, since it has a lot of consumption and it is not enough for it 🥺 maybe that was one of the reasons why it has stopped working, I demand more of it than it can 😱
