Introduction

Hey! In today's blog I'm going to be giving a complete breakdown on how much I have made playing splinterlands without spending a single penny (excluding the purchase of the summoners spellbook). I'll be going over my DEC earnings, SPS, rewards, etc. If this sounds interesting to you, carry on reading you're in for a surprise!

DEC Earnings

after playing for 14 days I have 353.399 DEC which according to today's conversion with DEC hovering around $0.005 per crystal that's a whopping $1.76! I know not very impressive right? Well now I'll explain why I'm planning on still playing this game and why it's totally worth it.
In Splinterlands in order to move on to a higher rank you need to reach a minimum power level, this is calculated according to the cards that you own (does not include starter cards). Now, in order to go from bronze 3 to bronze 2 you need atleast 1000 power. Since I haven't spent any money on buying cards I simply could not reach the 1000 power requirement. So take this in, I was able to earn 353 DEC's from playing at the lowest rank possible! Keep in mind the difference in earnings for a player in silver league compared to a bronze player is hugeee. So if your willing to spend even 2 dollars in renting out a couple cards, pushing to silver rank and claiming season rewards from there your earnings would be significantly higer than what I made. Another thing to factor in, is that DEC has been hovering around 0.007 for the longest time and only recently dropped down (buy the dipppp!!! haha), as more players are entering this game surely a couple months down the road DEC could be worth twice as more or even 3 times it's current value so that's something else to keep in mind. Anyways, enough of me blabbering on sps rewards.

SPS Earnings

As of today I earned 0.517 (approx $0.12). this is pretty much all pasive income as splinterlands rewards you for simply holding assets in the game, and in my case not very much haha. I currently hold 253.399 DEC's which (donated 100 to my guild so I do not hold 353.399) and have 10 airdrop points from cards owned (one card I recieved from daily quest). As of now I recieve 0.037 SPS (including staking rewards) every single day from the assets I hold and should soon increase since I just got a new card today which I'll be talking about soon!

Rewards Earings

I would have to say a good half of the DEC I have earned were from daily quests, I really don't know the exact amount. I also recieved 3 alchemy potions and 4 legendary potions which currently do not have any monetary value (but I belive will soon). Last but not least, I got 2 cards from the daily chest! I have the nightmare card worth $0.34 as of now and Venari Bonesmith worth close around $5.

Total Earnings

Adding up the total value of my assets, as of today I have made $7.22 Usd or 9.17 Cad, which means I have nearly made my money back from the purchase of the summoners spellbook ($10 plus tax) within the first 2 weeks!

Conclusion

Although $7.22 might not sound like a lot of money, considering that this is a game that pays you, that's mindblowing! We also have to take into account that these prices will most likely increase as more and more players join this community the $7.22 today can quite possibly be worth twice as much in the future. All I know, and can confidently say is, splinterlands is worth the investments, and I genuinely belive this game is going to explode!!!
This is why I'm sticking around and will definitely play for the long run. Guess what? I'm also planing on investing money into the game this week, so if you're interested in finding out how that goes you can follow my page and if you found this content worth your time an upvote would be amazing! I'll keep you guys updated, god willing. Goodbye for now and peace!

Hello, @yoslitz! This is @traciyork from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive - congratulations and welcome! It would also be awesome if you could do an introduction post, so our community can get to know you better. For an example of what an intro post is like, you can check out this one by my friend & curation team member -

Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community.

Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out - Hive Communities . I see you already found Splinterlands, and you might be interested in the Hive Gaming Community as well.

Also, as Hive can sometimes be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide should be helpful to you, as it is a growing repository of useful and easy to understand posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.

Please be aware that Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog, so it is important not to include content that you don't own without sources (and it shouldn't exceed 50% of the post). For more information, check this post - Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise by hivewatchers.

Since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.

For now, @lovesniper will follow your account and we are looking forward to seeing your intro post. Also, please mention (also known as tagging) @traciyork & @lovesniper in your intro post in order for us to be notified, so we can consider your post for OCD curation. Lastly, feel free to hop into the OCD Discord server if you have any questions!
