Comparing Season Rewards

avatar

Just looking to compare the last two season rewards to the new season rewards, ending on June 15, 2022.

Thanks to https://splintershare.info, here's what I earned the last two seasons with the old reward system --

Just looking at the last season in May, I earned 30 season chests ($4.82) and 83 daily chests ($17.62), for a total of 113 chests ($22.44). I was pretty happy with this, but was looking forward to the new reward changes.

This most recent season, I was earning gold chests, based on where I ended May. At first, I wasn't earning many reward shares and I thought gold was too high for me. But luckily patience and perseverance paid off... I ended up earning 63 season chests ($10.93) and 82 focus chests ($26.62), for a total of 145 chests ($37.55).

I'm pretty happy with increased rewards so far. I'm renting more to earn more from my daily focus, but I'm also earning more DEC in the daily chests I earn, so I think this meets part of the intent of the change. On the downside, I'm not earning as much DEC renting out cards, because I think people don't have as much incentive to rent purely for CP right now. It seems like the rentals are more justified now... the more useful the card, the higher the cost. Previously, rental prices were mostly based on CP/DEC. Now I think the market is behaving like a true market, where scarcity and utility have a bigger effect on rental prices.

I'm curious to see how gameplay changes as players adjust to the new economy and rewards. I really enjoy the strategy of the game battles and brawls, but I also enjoy figuring out the economy and seeing the market behavior.

I plan to track more of my progress here, so I can see how the game evolves and changes. Happy Battling to all!!
